Complete incompetence! They were responsible for legal side of an apartment I purchased. When I wanted to transfer my bond it came out that there was no gas certification done... in fact the gas stove was non-compliant. When I replaced my stove it came out that the stove plug wasn't compliant! And fixing aĺl this has to come out of my pocket because they couldn't care less!
A barely decent ecommerce site with no interest in providing a quality service. I use to buy from takealot often, I'd give them my money they'd give me a product within a decent time. Recently this seems to have changed. I ordered a couple of product on a Friday. It was late that evening so I wasn't expecting to get it the next morning so no surprise they told me Sunday. I made sure that all the products were in-stock in the Cape Town warehouse so I wouldn't have to wait. Sunday comes around and no luck, I sit around waiting for them to contact me only to see that the pickup point closes at 13:00. No excuses, no updated nothing. I guess they have my money so why would they care about giving me what I ordered. I tried to contact them because I have things to do that week and I can't sit around at home just waiting for them to collect 5 items thrown them in a bag and transport them a few hundred meters from the warehouse to the pickup point (which they separated for some inexplicable resulting in orders seemingly getting stuck in transit) but their contact email has been discontinued and they direct you to their help page which is of no help at all (no contact details, no way to make enquiries). A good strategy if this is the the quality of service they plan on providing since I imagine they'll just get inundated with endless complaints. I guess a lack of competition has made them slow, lazy and apathetic. Expect your items to be expensive, expect your items to not get delivered when they say they will, and expect that you'll have no option but to sit on your hands and hope they can sort themselves out.
The sales guys were on the ball. The support guys dropped the ball. Got a LTE package, everything went smoothly until 2 weeks later. Apparently the data ran out. Given only limited streaming usage over those weeks I doubted the 450gig package could be used up. A few days of back and forth with support and the problem seems to have solved itself... I wasn't too impressed but things seems to have been back to working. A few weeks later the connection completely dropped out. Again I attempted to approach support and for several days of back and forth the best they could advise me to do was reset and restart my router. After the 3rd time they told me to do a hard reset of my router I was even less impressed by the absolute absence of any meaningful technical in-house capacity beyond what I personally could pull up by googling. They eventually put me through to the 'LTE-A' guy who assured me everything was working on their end and suggested I do a factory reset of my router... It would have been great if they their 'technical expert' had given any consideration four previous days of correspondence between me and the 'customer liaison'. The worst part is that I'm currently sitting with dead SIM card, a router I got from them at a premium price, and another months bill ahead for a service I cannot physically use and one they have little ability in providing. I would recommend you take your business to someone who isn't a glorified intermediary, someone who won't give you a strug and charge you for the privilege.
