Thank you for your confirmation and undertaking. Your balance consolidation over a period of 60 months has been set-up and will be effective for payment on your current due date, 2 May 2020 for the fixed monthly instalment ofN$430.86 in line with the conditions as set out in my mail of 17 April 2020. With regard to the debit order, kindly be advised that we are not able to suspend the debit order from your transactional account at this stage, however we are able to amend your payment due date to a more suitable date if not already in order as is. Kindly take note that the account will remain open for repayment and the normal relegation process will follow should a payment be missed for one or other reason which could incur penalty fees. Thank you for the consolidation suggestion. I agree to the consolidation fixed monthly installment over 60 months = N$430.86 , the only thing is that with me not earning money (so no deposits will be going in to any accounts as I no longer work) putting a debit order on to account nr 62246322995, only to be returned by FNB will also not help. According to the briefing statement by our President on covid-19 dated 14 April 2020 dressing national response measures (copy attached) As a unemployed Namibian having human rights, having the right to provide a income for me and my family I would be allowed to trade "informal trading and open markets, subject to strict hygiene, social distancing and limit of gathering" I will be selling wood and some personal items perhaps even food, all of this will probably be cash or e-wallet, I can just make a cash deposit instead. Marius Dessels hereby acknowledge that I am indebted to FNB for a existing credit card facility of N$15,078.71 (excluding debit interest). I give FNB the undertaking to settle the debt... TO THE BEST OF MY EARNINGS ABILITY IN THE CURRENT LOCK DOWN RESTRICTIONS IN NAMIBIA... and in the cumming months going forward, as I am part of the devastating long lasting effects of the global Coronavirus covid-19 pandemic. This is unfortunately all I have to offer and advise at this point of my struggle. This means that we can consolidate the balance on your card on the budget over a repayment term of between 6 - 60 months. The condition of this consolidation is that the card will be placed on hold for the duration of the consolidation period or until such time that the account status is reviewed. The account will remain open for repayment only and the monthly account fee will continue to charge. See below how the consolidation will work on your current balance as at today: Without consolidation – Revolving credit (straight), account remains as is Current balance = N$15,078.71 (excluding debit interest) Current instalment = N$908.71 Instalment is 5% of closing balance together with the monthly account fees and interest. This will vary based on your closing balance. You can revolve on the limit as payments are made. With the consolidation Current balance = N$15,078.71 (excluding debit interest) Fixed monthly instalment over 60 months = N$430.86 (this includes the monthly account fee of N$80.00) For the cycle in which the consolidation is done, the monthly instalment may vary from the above in view of interest billing that still needs to take place. A hold will be placed on the card, so you will have no access to the account. The account will be open for repayment only. If you consider the consolidation of the balances, kindly confirm so via return mail in order for me to set up accordingly. Should you require any additional information in this regard, please feel free to contact me. My employer has advised that they would probably close their business. I have been in lock-down since 30 April 2020 and have lost my income due to the Coronavirus covid-19 pandemic, and probably my job. FNB has returned all my debit order (life policy s & bond payment). I at this point in time then dont see the need to keep the account open only for the bank to return my bond payment, And my life cover for the bond & life cover to assist my loved once when I can not provide for them due to my death. At this point in time I can not advise when and if I can return back to work, and when I will be in position to service my debt with FNB to the best ability of my earnings. Why keep the accounts open only for FNB to continue returning my debit orders, the monthly account fees this will only put me in a worse financial position than what I am finding my self in, at this point the credit balance should be sufficient to cover monthly account fees, if not please transfer what is needed from acc 62253883493 My wife has been advised by her employer that they will only receive 60% of their salary this month, and is uncertain about next months salary.
