Good afternoon, My pool was completed 15/04/2018. I had asked for a charcoal colored Sundowner pool. I was informed that there might be a colour change taking place at the water edge of the pool as this is not a standard colour. I agreed to this. On September 27, 2019 I sent a complaint to Phillip regarding the pool changing colour on the steps and the formation of blisters on the side of the pool. After many months of repeating my mail and a threat to go public I received a mail from Phillip today as per mail below. 04 June 2020 ( almost 9 months later ) "Good day Jan Apologies for the late response there was a miscommunication between me and Cheryl to make contact with you earlier. Unfortunately can Poly Phoenix not approve your warranty claim. The pool was manufacture in a charcoal colour which you were cautioned about at the time of the sale and to which you had agreed and accepted the possible consequence thereof. Any other colour other than white and pale blue are not covered as per the terms and conditions of your pool installation contract. (4) Final pool coat surface is guaranteed for a period of 2 years only but does not include the gelcoat against blistering/osmosis or other water / chemical related problems. Any colours other than the standard White and Pale Blue are not guaranteed against discolouring, fading, streaking or blotching. We can provide you with a quote to recoat the pool with a new top coating should you wish to do so. Please advice Kind regards, Phillip" Never ever were I advised that if I use that colour that I will have blisters forming on the side of the pool, will you go and buy a car that the salesmen tells you will blister after a few months, I think not? I find this totally unacceptable to be informed 9 months later that my purchase agreement with them was totally flawed. I have never seen the part or been formally informed about point (4). Final pool coat surface is guaranteed for a period of 2 years only but does not include the gelcoat against blistering/osmosis or other water / chemical related problems. Any colours other than the standard White and Pale Blue are not guaranteed against discolouring, fading, streaking or blotching. Regards Jan Griesel
