Silverback warranty

During August 2019 I purchased a Silverback E-bike from Action Cycles in Port Elizabeth. I was told that the bike comes with a 2 year warranty. I used the bike for 4 months and did 100km with it. At the beginning of December the bike was shipped to Luxembourg as I relocated there. I received the bicycle in April 2020 in Luxembourg. I used it once before it started giving hassles with the motor. I contacted Silverback who told me I need the proof of purchase from Action cycles. My invoice was misplaced in the move so I contacted Action cycles for a copy, only to tell me they have lost all records due to changing accounting systems. Really? Wonder how they going to do their tax returns. Silverback now claims that I must resolve the problem with Shimano who manufactures the motor. Its been two months now and the bicycle is still not fixed. BE WARNED!!! Silverback will not be of any help to back their warranties. Next time your new car goes faulty you will have to take it up with whoever supplied the manufacturer with that component. HaHa!! I am simply putting it out there to warn people to rather consider other brands when buying a bicycle. YOU WILL GET YOUR FINGERS BURNT WITH SILVERBAC****
