Dawie and his team at Heat King did a great job on my gas geyser installation. They arrived on time, installed and even waited ro test the geyser and the bypass mechanism. From Nash in the back office to Thomas, Henry and Pieter (onsite installation team), a very professional experience. I really appreciated their understanding on what I was trying to achieve from an aesthetic perspective. They did a meticulous job and cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. I would recommend them and intend using their services at my other properties in due course. From reading earlier reviews where feedback was negative, they certainly are doing their best to improve communication and customer experience.
I recently purchased an item on the website. It was delivered on time, however the manufacturer sent me the alternate cream as they had discontinued the one I purchased. I contacted Shopping4Africa and the customer care team was amazing! They affected a refund and also arranged collection of the item for return. Great service!! I would definitely use them again.
Roelf Swanepoel's (0795037969) company Swanies Towing CC extorted my parents aged 66 and 69 today. Traveling to JHB from Durban they experienced a two tyre puncture. The Engen garage they sought help at gave them this company's details. The two representatives that came out explained to my folks there would be a callout of R450 to which they agreed. They took the two tyres away and returned presenting my parents with an invoice of R6900. They were adamant that my parents do a pay and clear eft immediately or pay cash from the atm. As the atm was not working, my parents asked if I could make the transfer. When I called Roelf's cell number to query the invoice, I was told he was on a call out and that they would just take the tyres off the car and leave my parents on the side of the road if i did not pay in full. After which he slammed the phone down. They charged R450 callout, R4400 for 224/44/17 tyres, R800 for traveling 20km each way, R300 tyre fitment, R450 to remove the tyres, R300 for Nitrogen filling (which he says my dad asked for), R200 to Balance the tyres. When I asked my dad about the special gas request, he said he always fills Nitrogen (as per the dealerships advice) but its always free at any garage. This is very disappointing. I cannot believe people are left to operate this way. I hope there is an ombudsman for this industry.
