There is no proper system here. ****roaches running around. Broken washers. Broken Tumble Dryers. Management is never reachable. Students are placed at the front desk to help with complaints. No responses to emails. Poor communication.
This event was poorly organised. Tickets were sold to the general public via Quicket to enter the Afterfest when we arrived at the gate we were told to turn back. We paid for our tickets and planned the entire weekend to get there. The organisers are arrogant. The next day there were videos circulating on TikTok that the After Fest ended at 10pm because it was overcrowded. There is a problem at this event EVERY YEAR. I WILL NEVER EVER buy tickets for this event EVER AGAIN!!!
It seems as if business is doing well for Afrique Cuisine. The attitude of the staff and Management is not helpful! They treated me as if they don't need my business. They have ridiculous terms and conditions (a 10-page document with only their terms and no mention of the customer only what they want). Besides the above, all monies must all be paid up-front and they make that clear. The drinks price list is R75.00 for a jug of juice. 10% Tip on the Food Bill and another 10% Tip on the drinks bill. They ask for your car keys when you check-in, just in case you run away with the alcohol in your belly. The place made me feel like a criminial yet I was an honest tax paying citizen that was only trying to make a booking. I had better service at restaurants that was not even "4 Star". Besides that, they need to create a more modern feel to the place, Africa looked like that 20 years ago!!! The furniture looked a bit outdated. Staff arrogant and not helpful. Terrible service, won't recommend!!!! There are so many places on the East Rand.
This company is a scam! They charged me R950.00 per hour to detect a leak and did not detect anything 3 hours later. They wrote: ' No leak detection done' on the invoice and refused to issue me with a report after paying R3, 013.00 for 'labour, call out fee & material' and still nothing has been repaired according to them. Over and above the R3,013.00 they charged me an addition R1,500.00 for a payment that was paid 3 days after the invoice was issued. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE A SCAM IN THE BOKSBURG AREA ON THE EAST RAND!
This company has been confirmed as a scam. They are mostly targeting companies. They are working with an unregistered debt collecting company named Laflar Debt Collectors - they do not exist and all their contact details are not reachable - they have no official landline contact numbers and any physical addresses registered to their “ Company” - they operate with gmail email addresses and cellphone numbers. I have discovered this information upon conducting my own investigation. I also registered a claim with the Consumer Council for Tele Communications who confirmed that they are inundated with complaints from the same company who was previously known as White Pages. Beware of them!!
I was called to complete a one page document with fine print that I could not read. I asked what the cost was upfront and they said it was free. I asked what it was for and they told me it's to update the telephone directory. 3 months later they are now harassing me to pay R10,788.00. DO NOT PAY A CENT!!! They are scamsters. As consumers it is our right to know what costs are upfront it HAS TO BE disclosed to us as per Consumer Protection Act No 68 of 2008 - 3) Right to Disclose Information.
