I am truly, massively disappointed as a South African even for tourist visting Im embarrassed. I have been there 20 years ago, it was spectacular, birds and massive parrots flying all over. This year Friday the 27th December 2024 visited Birds of Eden again with my family and kids with the thought of 20 years ago. Firstly, my wife, I and 3 boys, over R 1300 entrance fee. The place inside still looks spectacular but we only saw a handful of birds and no big parrots. Then we decided to eat there, what a disappointment. Almost everything on the menu is R 99.00. We waited over 45 minutes for our food, 3 Cheese Hamburgers and 2 Prego burgers. Eventually we asked the waiter, then we received our food. For our burgers en 5 drinks, far over R 600. Can't talk for our kids on taste as they were hungry but our burgers were a total disaster, cant call the sauce prego sauce, buns fell apart when you hold it as a indication the buns must be old, the bugers were plain. Surly when you go, spend over R 2000 to visit a place for 2 hours, the food at least must be of very good standard and quality and taste like something, not plain waiting over 45 minutes, must see more birds than what we saw and at least what I have seen 20 years ago. Spending over R 2000.00 for that with food, it's ridiculous and we're so disappointed for that amount of money spend.
Once again Norkem Park McDonald's ripped me off money wise. Ordered 2 Jalapeño double Chicken burgers through Mr D and only received single, probably Mr D's fault again like McDonald's reply the first time to me, I did send Mr D photos but its not their fault. This is the second time it happened, Bad Bad service. Please go on their FB page and see how many people complain about McDonald's. One complaint another customer gave, received a small cup of desert but ordered a different cup, it were to be mix but were not. McDonald's reply, please complain to Mr D. OMW, Mr D, I did not know you were the one preparing McDonald's food and not McDonald's. Pathetic McDonald's media team Pathetic, same reply I receivedthe first time. lodge a complaint on hello Peter the first time, did not even help as well. its OK, dishonesty from McDonald's are OK and does not even worry about customers service. I hope many people read this post and hope the way you treat customers, makes you famous.
Afternoon I have ordered through Mr D at Norkem Park Mc Donalds and in my order, I have taken 3 milkshakes. When the order arrived, they brought me 3 juices, the driver said, they did not have. This is not what I wanted and they never even phoned me to let me know. When I checked the price, its R 1 difference per Juice to Milkshake so I loose R 3 as I paid for milkshakes not Juice. This is really unacceptable although R 3 is not a lot but what service is that, that Norkem Park Mc Donald's can decide to give me something in replacement not phoning, don't know if I might be allergic to it and give me something less than what I paid for. I always keep quiet but not this time, I had many problems with Norkem Park Mc Donald's previously, I stopped ordering from Mc Donald's and rather ordered from other restaurants but due to your Chilli fries, I decided to order there again tonight, to my disappointment this happened. Mc Donald's will not see me again. This post were done on the Mc Donald's South Africa page, up until today from the 2 July, no one even contacted me. Does not even help you complain. Wow, what great customer service is that !!!!!
