For about 3 years, starting when the car was still on warranty, we kept complaining about falling coolant level in our Volvo S60 at every service at a Volvo dealership. Volvo said the coolant expansion bottle cap need to be replaced. Eventually, the car posted a message that the gearbox needed service. Volvo quoted to replace the gearbox. Pro Nordic Motors got the gearbox oil laboratory tested and diagnosed that the engine coolant was leaking into the gearbox oil cooling section of the radiator. They drained the contaminated oil & fitted a separate oil cooler for the gearbox oil. The car is still running fine 2 years later.
