They may offer a great product, but try finding a claims email address on their website. I’ve been a client of OnePlan Pet Insurance for some time and have never had an issue until now. I needed to submit a claim and send through a quotation for dental work for my pet. Yes, they provide a card that supposedly contains the necessary contact details, but what happens when your spouse is away and has the card with them? Naturally, the next step is to visit the OnePlan Pet Insurance website. One would reasonably expect the company’s own website to display accurate and accessible contact information. Unfortunately, that is not the case. There is no visible email address listed for claims or support. No contactus@oneplan.co.za, no support@oneplan.co.za. There is a phone number at the bottom left of the page, in extremely small font, but no email address at all. To make matters worse, although the customer support representative I spoke to was polite, the interaction came across as condescending. I was effectively made to feel foolish for not using Google to find the information. I was also told that the email address is “on the website” and that by using Ctrl+F and typing “petclaims” I would find it. Expecting clients to search hidden text instead of clearly displaying contact details is unreasonable. For context, in order to even reach the pet insurance division, I first had to submit a contact request via the website. The health insurance division contacted me, I then had to clarify my request, and only after that was I transferred to the pet division. In short, please place your relevant contact email addresses clearly on your website. That said, this issue should not be confused with OnePlan’s overall service level. Their service is generally excellent. Claims are processed efficiently and turnaround times are fast. As a pet insurance provider, they do tick many boxes. However, like any business, there is always room for improvement.
Finally a review on this company!!!! back in on the 3rd of june 2024 - YES!! its been that long ago - I cant get over it!!! The guy (Mr. Max) seemed very helpful and knowledgeble , BUT what would have cost in components (R1160) and normal labour (even if it was R1200 for 30 minutes) landed up costing me a staggering R9'264.00!!! The guy literally made up the value of invoice as it came to mind. I still have the invoice and proof of payment to remind me of this shark!!! subsequently when i app**** for a COC electrical compliance certificate - hiw wiring was in error. steer clear from this guy!!
