Bonitas Medical Fund refuses to pay for my daughters ICU stay. I was a member with Bonitas and I am a Sanlam employee which is their bosses. However I received pathetic service from them. I emailed them for documentation to add my newborn onto my medical aid as a dependent and they sent me the forms. I then filled it out and even attached the birth certificate for them. I sent it multiple times and still they failed to add her onto my medical aid in December. From January Sanlam moved us over to Fedhealth and Bonitas refuses to assist me with the hospital bills and etc. They keep messing me around and give me the run around. Everytime they request the documentation but the hospital is still struggling to get the money. This is the worst experience I've ever had and they are still not resolving the issue mon5hs later even after me continuously calling them and emailing them.
Overcharging of utilities due to bridged geysers and electricity meters. The geyser of unit 2 and unit 10 directly above mine is bridged. This has been raised over the last years with no response or resolution. There are no individual water meters for the calculation of water costs and no explanation or formula has been forthcoming. The bridged geysers and electricity meters are causing my costs to be astronomical as I am being charged for other unit’s usage. Part of the problem, I believe, is that a third-party (X-PERT X-ecutive Administrators) reseller is employed who charges exorbitant rates. I am denied access to my electricity meter so as to take photos of the readings as I do not believe the readings presented on my statement is correct. I have had numerous problems with the reseller before and had to request City Power to intervene. However, I suspect that the reseller has contacts with City Power who act on his (resellers) instructions hence the refusal to have an audit done on the meters. 2. Maintenance is lacking. I have resided in my unit for 7 years now and no maintenance (hygiene and repairs) has been done at the complex even though maintenance levies have been paid. The trustees / managing agent are now pleading poverty. I am of the understanding that the maintenance levies are to be ring-fenced for exactly that purpose. 3. The trustees/Gerian (please see contact details below) refuse to attend or acknowledge requests for special general meetings in order to sort out the resident’s issues. Numerous meetings have been requested but these are always shot down as being "unconstitutional". This is notably by the trustees Fanie Kruger and Oswald Huntley together with Gerian representative Gerda Smit. Copies of the AGM minutes and financial have been requested but is either being refused or ignored by the trustees. 4. When I purchased my unit, it was purchased with a garage. To date the garage has not been registered in my name and remains the property of Gerian or the original developer. Is this not theft by a different name? All the complaints above can be substantiated by written correspondence but are too many to include in this application. Please indicate if I should attach. for my high water and electricity bills on numerous occasions. No acknowledgment / response is ever received to any written communication with the managing agent. I have requested assistance from attorneys to assist in this matter, but it appears that the attorneys correspond has been ignored.
