I am absolutely shocked at how you handled my case... It took months and months for an investigation at which the end result was that your staff member simply said he didn't say that (which let me be one hundred percent clear.... He VERY clearly advised me to send my bill through to medical aid AND told me that if they rejected it, I would only be liable for the cash rate quoted... Which was R462). But.... After months of a "so-called" investigation... He simply said he say that and that was that. I had to pay an EXTRA R1000 for that. Firstly, let me tell you that you handled this shockingly, secondly, the customer is always right, thirdly, if it's a he said, she said, why does he get believed and I have to take the penalty, fourthly, it is disgusting the rate you charge medical aid compared to cash prices.... Shame on you. I have paid the bill I was FORCED into paying...may karma be kind to you.
I am absolutely shocked, appalled and livered by the treatment of Global Labs in amanzimtoti. I went for a blood test in Nov 2019, I asked the man helping the cost... He said R462, he then asked why don't you send it throughto your medical aid. I told him I was on hospital plan so I don't think they cover blood tests... He said he advises patients to put it through regardless as sometimes they pay. I then asked him what would I be liable for if the medical aid rejects the claim and he said R462... So the same cash amount. I was then hit with a bill of over 3 times the amount of over R1500. I contacted Global labs and they said they would do an investigation... Months later, there so called investigation was asking their staff member if he said that, he said he didn't (no suprise) and I now need to pay a HUGE bill... I remember my blood test clearly as I haven't had one since then... Does their staff member even remember me. I think it is so unfair that I am penalized over R1000 extra based on what he said to me... They don't want to help at all... Instead telling me that I just have to pay or be handed over.... I am really disgusted in how this matter has been dealt with. They say there is no proof... It's a he said/she said, but yet will go on what their staff member says. Livered to say the least... Not to mention... Why are medical aid rates more than 3times the amount... Daylight robbery if you ask me.
