Hi, I booked accommodation through First Exchange (Time Share) at the Breakers Resort in Umhlanga from the 30/1/2021 to 6/1/2021. In early January I called First Exchange to request cancellation of my holiday due to the level 3 lockdown that the President announced on the 28 December 2020 as well as the increase in infections as well as deaths especially in KZN and the fact that I am 61 years of age and have comorbidities (I am a diabetic). The request I made was to cancel my reservation and also not to lose any of the points I have accumulated. I was told that they are unable to assist without me providing them with a Doctors letter to confirm my health situation. When I told them that I do not see the reason why I should consult a doctor to verify my health as I would end up having to pay for this consultation was informed that they will not consider my request if I do not provide this. After explaining to them about me trying to ensure that my wife and I and the other couple that will be travelling with me being over 60 want to ensure that we stay safe and healthy and that we all have some form of comorbidities they still refused to accommodate my request. I requested that my stay be extended to a further date but have not been successful. I have written to them on three or four occasion but with no luck as no one responded to any of my emails up until the time that I am writing to you. This morning I again attempted one last time to request them to cancel my reservation and to extend it to a later date and have not had any luck other than we are unable to assist you and that it is company policy. So I am left without any points (+-7000 points) not sure what this equates to in monetary value as well as being out of pocket of R399 (reservation fee) and don't know what to do. This is the second time this has happened to me as mentioned early as the first time was for a booking I made to travel in November 2020. These people get away with it and nothing gets done as they through their policies in your face and will not consider or be empathetic to your circumstances including the state of our country. the sad part of all of this is that as pensioners we look forward to our holidays, yet we get deprived by companies like this who have no problem taking your money and keeping it. I read an earlier review based on the same circumstances and agree with the person who wrote it in that these people are stealing our money and nothing gets done about it. this is the second time I lost points and nothing gets done to rectify the situation and all that it is, is that the consumer is the one losing out on this. all I can say that I am astounded by the bullish behaviour and the fact that nobody will take responsibility as you are unable to make contact with anybody senior be it a Manager or the CEO of the company. I believe that this is the final straw for me and that I will consider cancelling my membership with them after I have established how I will be able to transfer the remaining points I have with them.
Hi I recently purchased items online in July and received the article within days which was fantastic. However, my order was short received as one of the items did not get delivered. Having attempted to contact Real Deal Daily telephonically (the website does not provide contact details), i found an email addressed and informed the organisation directly. A few days later received a call that the item will be delivered the very same day with no luck. After a few more emails to Real Deal Daily have had no further response. My order number is 1118 and I short received a batch of hand sanitizers. The fact that one is unable to contact this organisation telephonically is very frustrating. Furthermore the fact that you don't receive a courtesy response to your email is further frustrating which shoeshine unprofessional this company is. The are quick to take your money but cannot deliver on the goods you purchase. I do not know where too from here as I've just about had it and will not use this company gain. People be aware as they font deliver on the goods
