I wish to formally lodge a complaint regarding FNB’s handling of *****ulent transactions on my account and the inadequate assistance I have received. An unauthorized transaction from Find All Rentals was processed on my FNB account without my consent. Upon reporting this matter to FNB, I was advised to immediately cancel my bank card in order to prevent any further *****ulent activity. I followed this instruction without delay. Despite canceling my card as instructed, and before I was able to collect or activate my replacement card, another unauthorized transaction from the same merchant was processed on my account. When I returned to FNB for further assistance, I was advised once again to cancel my card and provide proof that I had canceled my “subscription.” This response is extremely frustrating and inappropriate, as I do not knowingly have any subscription or agreement with Find All Rentals, nor did I authorize these transactions. This matter should clearly be treated as *****, not as a subscription cancellation issue. I am deeply concerned that FNB has not properly investigated how additional unauthorized transactions could still be processed after my card was canceled. I have also not been given a clear explanation regarding possible recurring payment authorizations, merchant tokenization, or any payment mechanisms that may still be linked to my account despite my efforts to protect myself. As a customer, I expect FNB to provide effective ***** protection and professional assistance. Specifically, I request: • A full investigation into these unauthorized transactions • Immediate escalation to the relevant ***** and disputes department • A complete block on any future unauthorized transactions from Find All Rentals • A clear explanation as to how transactions continued after my card was canceled • Appropriate corrective action and reimbur*****t where applicable I acted immediately and responsibly based on FNB’s instructions, yet I remain financially exposed due to what appears to be inadequate ***** prevention and insufficient customer support. This experience has caused significant stress, inconvenience, and frustration. I trust that FNB will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves, take urgent corrective action, and ensure that no further unauthorized transactions can occur.
I have no active subscription with them, regardless they debited R789.06 from my account. When I went onto the website to see if I have a subscription it showed - Free subscription. There is no option to cancel the subscription because I have no subscription. FNB suggested I cancel my card, which I did but yet another amount of R789.06 was debited from my account. How is this possible!!!
Great medical aid BUT........ Recently I suspected fraud and called Discovery medical aid. But to no avail. I phoned Discovery fraud line but they referred me back to the medical aid. I am going back and forth and no one can help. The call centre agents are very friendly but I can't get to the right person to help me. I even went to a broker who deals with Discovery but he said he can't help me. I am so frustrated.
