"What a horrible experience I just had at Fire and Vine. The big white guy (I think he's a manager or something) is a rac*st who demanded we move from our table because he said he had "important people" he wanted to put in our table. He then continued to tell us that he's then going to force us to leave. When we told him we don't want to leave as we had already placed our orders and were having our drinks, he then snatched our drinks and said, "leave my restaurant, after all you can't afford to pay for anything here." And I responded by saying, "excuse me! Where do you get the audacity to insult us like that? Who said we can't pay for our own food? You cannot insult us like that, times have changed, I will speak up for myself." He then said, "get up and leave, I have important people I need to put in this table." I then said, "it is so unfortunate that you say that when your biggest clientele is 'black people,' the very same ones you look down upon." And he said, "Leave! I will cover your bill." We were so embarrassed, we felt so little and looked down upon. Then after a little while he came out with who I believe was the owner. He then said we accused him of being " a rac*st"I was livid, no one accused him of being rac*st, I only called him out for saying "you can't afford those drinks, I will cover the bill for you (causing a scene for everyone to see)." All in all, our experience was traumatic and we honestly felt like we were profiled economically and racially. This said "manager/ white guy" also disrespected the stuff in front of us..I wish the management held their abusive employees accountable! Also, I will be escalating this!
Hello Peter, please help me get my bank card that was swallowed by the NEDBANK ATM at the NEDBANK Greater Edendale Mall in Pietermaritzburg KZN. So this is what happened, On Saturday the 12th of September 2020 I used the Nedbank ATM to withdraw money with my Chinese ICBC bank card that has Union pay logo. When I got to the machine, my card was swallowed by the ATM, I than tried to go to inside the bank, but could'nt since the security told me that I will have to join the long que in order to get into the bank and speak to a consultant about my problem, mind you the bank was clossing in like 15 minutes. I then decided to call Nedbank and it went through their call center where I was assisted by a nice gentlem and he assured me that I will get my card retrieved from the machine, he then gave me this ref number 38825518 after he requested the ATM number that swallowed my card (ATM No: s572). He told me that I will only recieve a call on monday the 14th of September 2020 from the Great Edendale Mall Branch, of which I did not until I called and they returned my call. Just after 12 pm 14 September 2020, I spoke with a Nedbank employee (who is an Indian lady) from the Great Edendale Mall, who asked me if I bank with Nedbank, my response was no, she than said they can not issue back my ICBC card since I am not their customer, they will have to destroy it. Please help get my card back, my whole salary from my job is in that card, my employer pays my salary in that card. If they destroy it and really end up not recieving back my card that means I will not be able to use my money since I do not have my card and that I will have to wait until I get back to China so I can get a new card to access my money.
