When Service Fails: A Customer’s Disheartening Retail Experience MAKRO ONLINE DIVISION Introduction A retail store is more than just a place to purchase goods. While positive experiences are often expected, negative encounters can leave a far deeper imprint on one’s memory. This narrative explores, in detail, a particularly disappointing experience with Makro Online purchasing division, viewed through the lens of customer service, and reflects on its broader implications for both consumers and businesses. The Initial Excitement I needed to buy a Game stick and checked out the Makro online app. I decided on buying it and duly placed my order and made payment thereto on the 17th July at around 12 am. The First Interaction: Indifference and Impatience. • I called the call center on the 24th July just to confirm what time the package will be delivered. I was then informed that they are awaiting feedback from the supplier, they will escalate the mater and call me back with an update • NONE OF THAT HAPPENED – NO CALL THE FOLLOWING DAY • I phoned the customer care line back as a matter of courtesy to advise them that I have not received any updates, They then checked the system and told me that they will escalate the matter and call me with an update, I then told them that this is what was said when I called before. I requested to speak to a manager the consultant said the he will transfer me after holding for 10min + the call was disconnected. I called back and was placed on hold in-definitively • I phoned the customer care line 12 times, they made a lot of promises of which none of them materialized (this can be checked because they say the conversation is recorded) The Aftermath: Broken Promises and Frustration In my experience, I would advise any person thinking of buying an electronic product at Makro to think twice of their service. It cannot be trusted as they really do not care,
Mr George and I signed up with executive forxe who is in partnership with CM Trading I was promised by Derrick Modely that this financing will include an amount to start trading. I also requested for everything to be canceled. Anntonett at executive forxe requested an affidavit in order for funds to be released this was provided to them two weeks ago and to this moment the funds has not been received. I spoke to Cheslyn from CM Trading after the Second debt order returned unpaid he says that this can not be canceled and he can only assist me with contact information that I already have, says there is nothing else he can do to assist.
