I bought bump plates from Mifitness about a month ago during lockdown. I expected delays because of the lockdown and was surprised to receive my plates in the time I was quoted. I was kept informed of my order at all times and was very happy with the experience. I thought nothing of the experience until I ordered gym equipment from another company, which I never received and I now realize I've been scammed. So just a thumbs up to Mifitness.
I placed an order for a gym bench on the 8/09/2020 (order #4438) and immediately received an email confirming the order and that delivery would take place between 14/09/2020 and 21/09/2020. On the 28/09/2020 I enquired about the order and received a further email stating that Zulu-Tech were experiencing a large increase in contacts and that there would therefore be delays. On the 6/10/2020 I enquired again and received no response. I tried calling the number which simply goes to voicemail. I tried a CIPC search and could not find the company details. The cellphone number given is unregistered (That's 12 months in prison or a R60,000 fine). From this forum, I now see that the physical office listed on their website does not exist. This appears to be a scam, as has widely been reported on this forum (if it is not, Zulu-Tech is welcome to call me and persuade me otherwise). I will be reporting this matter to the commercial crimes unit for further investigation.
