We have been waiting for our electricity to be reconnected since Friday 13 March. Our electricity has been off since Wednesday 11 March. It's now Tuesday the 17th of March. This is ridiculous! I'm pregnant and I have a 5 year old child. We cannot cook or have a warm bath or shower. I've had to throw away food from my fridge. How are we supposed to live like this? How do you expect me to feed my family? You have no considered for human rights. Yet, when it's time to disconnect people, you are always on time. Ref: CPWEB4908758. Last communication was yesterday identified fault, reconnection paid. So what is the hold up? If my child gets sick in this weather, it's on you people! This is an invasion of human and children's rights.
On the 3rd of September I was rear ended at a traffic light while completely stationary. I was waiting for the light to change from red to green and someone drove straight into the back of my car. When I phoned Budget Insurance to submit my claim, I made it clear that I was not to blame and that this was a third party claim. After my car was collected and assessed I was called my a gentleman who told me that my claim was being rejected due to my policy being Budget Lite and not Budget Insurance. Only if my car was a write off then they would accept my claim. I proceeded to contact Customer Care to tell them that I was not at fault and that this was meant to be a third party claim and asked them to reconsider. They rejected my request and told me that they don't do third party claims. They also mentioned that they could only accept my claim if my car is a write off. Yet, on their website it says that if you have a Budget Lite policy third party claims are covered. Shortly after speaking to the individual responsible for my car assessment. A person phoned me from the same number asking me if I would like to sell my car, as is with all the damages. This wasn't a coincidence! Once my car was returned, it got it reassessed by the Dent Doctor and Skyborn Autobody. The Dent Doctor's very thorough assessment and quotation came to R80 224.00 and Skyborn Autobody was R97 732.00. How is it that these two quotations are so vastly different from Budget which was only R25 000? They purposefully didn't write my car off because they didn't want to pay me out. After so many years of loyalty and being claim free? They have no remorse, accountability or care for my situation. Now I've had to do a third party claim myself which has taken weeks. I've loss income since the 3rd of September and due to Budget's inaccurate quotation, I'm unable to fix my car. They didn't even bother responding to my last email about the above because I was forced to cancel my insurance with them. How can you charge someone for Budget Lite when your competitors are charging the same amount and less for full, comprehensive insurance? **** artists! ****s! *******!
As of today Pick 'n Pay ASAP will never see me again! My order was received at 14h08 in the afternoon. The app said that my delivery would arrive between 15h00-15h30. Just before 15h00 it changed to 15h30-16h00, then 16h30-17h30. The whole point of ordering online was for convenience yet today has been a huge inconvenience, waiting around for an order when I had an appointment to attend at 17h00. The delivery eventually arrived at 17h47 after numerous messages via social and email. I tried phoning the support helpline many times but no answer. If that wasn't enough more than 80% of the items I ordered were not delivered. A total of R1694.76 spent with nothing to show for it but two boxes of milk and two bags out of the seven that were meant to be delivered. No explanation, no communication, no responses to my messages, calls, posts and emails. This is unacceptable! I want an immediate refund! Not in points or money on my app. In my bank account or cash, I don't ever want to use the Pick'n Pay ASAP app! Leave the deliveries to Checkers 60/60 because you have no idea what you are doing.
I'm absolutely appalled at this supposed Fitness Smart Watch PA88. There is absolutely nothing smart about it. If fact, it's just a gloried pedometer. It does not in fact have multi sports modes because none of them even work. The calorie counter is useless and the steps are inaccurate. When I first started using it in August 2024 after I bought it, I noticed a few issues. I contacted Polaroid Support and was told to reset the watch and install a different tracking app. Which I tried multiple times. Then the consultant told me to send the watch in for repairs which I did. After waiting for weeks for my watch, it came back exactly the same. (This was in December 2024 and January 2025) I sent the watch back for repairs in February and I was told that it was fixed. When I eventually got it back in March, the only thing that was working properly was the pedometer. Now I have an added issue and the watch battery only lasts 4 days and won't charge properly. Previously, the battery would last ten days. I emailed support for what must be the 4th of 5th time and this was the response: Hi Taryn Augustine, Polaroid smar****ches, like other consumer-grade wearables, are not intended for medical diagnosis or treatment. While they may offer health-related features like heart rate monitoring, fitness tracking, or sleep analysis, their accuracy and reliability are not sufficient for medical decision-making. Remember, smar****ches and wearables are great for tracking your general wellness and fitness. It is always best to consult a qualified healthcare professional for personalized advice, as they can provide accurate and reliable assessments using medical-grade equipment and expertise. I want a smart fitness watch that does what is was designed to do. Tracking general wellness and fitness! A fitness watch that cannot track fitness! What a joke! I want a full refund. You have wasted my time, petrol, money and energy. Leave the smart fitness watches to FitBit and Garmin, because you clearly have no idea what you are doing.
And here I was thinking I was going to be impressed by MiWay's impeccable service only to be disappointed. I decided to change my insurance three days ago just before the debit order was going to go off. The MiWay consultant Jacqueline ensured me that I would not be debited for both insurers. She even helped me cancel my current insurance. Between the Compare consultant and Jacqueline, I thought everything was running smoothly. I confirmed multiple times that my debit order would only go off in January and they both agreed. Low and behold. I wake up this morning with a debit order from MiWay and my current insurer. This is unacceptable and something I cannot afford! I'm a stay at home mom who only works part time. I'm honestly devasted. I feel robbed!
I'm incredibly disappointed by the after sale service at Uber Eats. I've ordered from them multiple times and have never been charged for an authorisation hold. They double debited me and claimed it was this authorisation hold. I've emailed them multiple times only to get an automated response and they cannot be reached telephonically. My bank cannot assist me without confirmation from UberEats in writing that it is in fact an authorisation hold. Tomorrow will be a week and my money has not been reimbursed. This is unacceptable!
Two weeks ago we moved houses and decided to order Nandos on Uber Eats. I was craving Nandos for weeks and we had numerous hands helping us move and unpack that Friday afternoon. I ordered two full chickens, a salad, wedges for sharing and chips for sharing. I was gobsmacked when I looked at the bill. Almost R600! When it arrived there was no salad to be found. That's forgiveable I thought. When I saw the chips and wedges I was horrified! This was supposed to be part of a family meal. The portion of chips and wedges could have fed a family of two. It was ridiculous! Was everyone supposed to have one chip and one wedge? R600 for two full chickens, a small chips and what looked like 4 wedges? To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. An overpriced family meal with an underwhelming experience. Never again!
