I ordered supper for my mother and uncle, I have done so before no issue. My uncle was standing out side for an hour waiting for the delivery not a delivery car in site. Then I got a message from uber eats saying the driver left the food out side because no one answered the door. The driver as intelligent as he was took a photo of the food in his car on the floor, not out side showing the surroundings where he supposedly delivered it too. And that was that I tried calling uber eats help line, not helpful at all, you just get machine no person to talk to or get help from. I still get adds for under eats but will never use this company again and have told everyone and still do today warn people against uber eats, what was such a great and helpful system is not trust worthy and therefore pointless. And what is terrible for me is I tipped the driver and he got to burger meals from steers with cooldrinks and uber eats got my money. Who is the loser, only me. Very upsetting and disappointing and shocking I didn’t realise even food could be ****** from the person delivering.

I want a full refund for this terrible experience. Uber’s customer service is beyond disrespectful and completely useless when it comes to taking accountability. In this order, the driver stood outside for around 30 minutes refusing to come in even after I asked her to, then left and falsely marked the order as delivered. I checked with security because I thought she had left it at the gate, but they confirmed nothing was received and that they saw her leave. She also falsely claimed she called through the gate when she never did. What makes this even worse is that this is not the first disgusting experience I’ve had with Uber. On a previous order, I literally found a human nail in my food. I reported it immediately and Uber still refused to refund me. Finding something like that in a meal is revolting and completely unacceptable, yet Uber treated it like it was nothing. At this point it honestly feels like Uber is run by selfish *****s who care more about dodging refunds than basic customer safety or customer service. Every issue gets met with copy-paste responses and zero effort to actually help. I will definitely not be recommending this service to anyone.

on 25/05/2026 i ordered food at debonairs through uber eats the food costed almost R400 and i never received my orders, driver claimed that he delivered my food even sent a picture that he dropped them at the gate but they picture he sent doesn’t look like my gates and i tried to ask for help from uber eat then they claimed that they cant refund me, meaning they condone the behaviour of their drivers, cz it seems like their drivers most of the time they do that ******* and get away from it there is no accountability at all. i will never ever again use their app.

My wife ordered from Anvil Burger Co, Claremont on 14 May 2026 (total: R2,048.90) and was charged R475 more than I should have been — for mayo sides I never ordered and never received. The overcharge: 5 x Skinny Fries @ R59 = R295 but billed R670. Extra R375 was for "3 Side Plain Mayo" — not ordered, not received. 2 x Steakhouse Fries @ R59 = R118 but billed R218. Extra R100 was for "2 Side Spicy Mayo" — not ordered, not received. Total wrongly charged: R475 I reported this on the same day (14 May, 18:09) with the receipt and menu screenshots as proof. Over the next 12 days, agents Hisham and Mohamed Saeed sent the same copy-paste reply ("still looking into it") at least 5 times. When I asked for a direct contact, I was ignored. On 26 May, Uber's automated system denied my refund, claiming I contacted them "more than 2 days after the order." I contacted them on the day of the order. The delay was 100% caused by Uber Eats. I want my R475 back and an explanation of why items never ordered appeared on my bill.

Uber eats are rogues its numerous times I have ordered from mac donals and received burnt food or the wrong order or my entire combo be missing when u upload the pics and need customer support to help they dont refund u o even assist u and sometimes respond after days ..im a high risk pregnant woman who craves mac d and be starving using my last money to get my meal and they dont even refund u

I order food, call center called when delivery was here. My phone blocks these numbers. Chicken licken doesn't know where it is. Just lost R400!!!!!!!!!!! Not nice guys!!!!!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 Can't contact Uber eats only talk to chat bot!!!!!!

This is by far the worst and most horrible company alive! NEVER EVER USE YOUR MAIN BANK CARD TO ORDER ON THIS APP BECAUSE THEY WILL KEEP ON DOUBLE AND TRIPLE CHARGING YOU UNNECESSARILY. Each and every month it's always the same story that I order a meal from this app and the first transaction goes through. A few moments later, then they will deduct the exact same amount and you need to go from pillar to post and feel like you are begging them to reverse your funds back. The worst part is that they make you wait 10 working days for an error that they made. This is totally disgusting and unacceptable! YOU GUYS NEED TO FIX YOUR SYSTEM.
