GHASTLY WOK N ROLL RESTAURANT IN SANDTON
This is by far the worst restaurant food my husband and I have ever experienced. To start with, it was totally empty at lunchtime. So we decided to give it a try, and took our seats. I love different Asian food, and as they had duck on the menu, I decided to try it. My husband, always cautious stuck to chicken. The food was a long time in coming, and just as we were about to ask where our food was, it arrived. OMG I couldn’t believe what I saw on my plate. Duck is supposed to be soft and delicious, and as the most expensive item on the menu, I expected something edible. The duck was dried out and rubbery. My plate was ice cold, so my meal had to go back to the kitchen to be reheated. The duck had been in their freezer probably for months. It was so gross, I refused to eat it. My husband said his chicken was barely edible, but way better than the disgusting mess on my plate. We complained. The owner/chef was sitting in the sun outside under an umbrella reading the newspaper. The waiter went to the Chinese owner to convey our disgust. He never got up and came to speak to us, he just sat there with his coke bottom glasses, and barely said a word. We refused to pay the full price and we said we wanted a discount. We got a minimal discount, and it was a gross experience with the owner not giving a damn. They say they employ professional Asian cuisine chefs from Asia. Well if this is the best they can do, we should have refused to pay the entire bill 100%. Don’t go there, tell your friends, it’s right in the centre of Sandton. Now we know why it was empty. Tasha’s restaurant right next door, was full of happy customers. It should have been a warning. Tasha’s we’d been to before, so decided to try this awful Wok n Roll. What a waste of money. We did not even give the waiter a tip. BE WARNED.

INTO THE KRUGER
We stopped at this amazing store just before you go into White River. I bought the most amazing photos of baobab trees, birds etc. I’m going to frame them and hang them in my house, Do yourself a treat and go into this store. The gentleman helping me was very kind and patient. We went home with a bit of INTO THE KRUGER. Don’t miss this store. It’s in a center of other stores.

NO ONE MAKES BETTER KITCHENS THAN MICAH KITCHENS CUPBOARDS.
We have used Micah Kitchens 4 times in our house. The first was a complete kitchen overhaul. It turned out amazing. The second was to turn a bedroom into a dressing room for me, I felt like a princess when I viewed it the first time. It’s so glamorous. Then we had our pantry done, and I leave all my appliances like my slow cooker, my steamer, my juice extractor, my nutri bullet, my wok, out on the counter ready to use. I only use drawers under counters, as they help an older person not needing to get on their knees to see what’s at the back of a bottom shelf. I have 19 drawers in my kitchen and pantry. Then we had built in bunk beds, but no one ever slept at the top, so we turned it into deep, fabulous cupboards for blankets, duvets, pillows. In our pantry, I noticed that the cleats were starting to sag with the heavy cleaning equipment like dishwasher powder, sta soft, and the washing machine soap. There was also the cats kitty litter, and food which was heavy. I phoned them up and explained the problem. They were on the job in a jiffy, and braced all the shelving, and never even charged me. Micah has the most amazing kitchens and bathrooms and cupboards. We have sold our house with the gorgeous Micah touch, and in our new small pensioner townhouse, we will redo the kitchen. And put drawers on the one bathroom basin. Plus get a proper basin in the other bathroom. Micah and everyone who works there, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your excellent workmanship, different kinds of table tops, and different everything. The kitchen has exploded with the new and kind of different space. It’s immediate that you see the difference from an old kitchen, to a new one. I can’t stop raving about their work. My son has a home in Constantia Kloof, and Micah did all the bedroom cupboards, his huge study, his pantry and a lot of other stuff. He said Micah was really reasonably priced compared to other quotes he got. I am so excited to plan my new kitchen, and put into it, stuff that wasn’t around 20 years ago. It’s going to be a sight to behold. We have been married for 50 years this year, so I’m hoping for a pensioner discount. Go well Micah, and may you make all your clients dreams come true. You’re a definite 5 STAR.

A total ****. Even their email doesn’t work. It claims that that email is blocked with mail, and nothing more can be delivered. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM SHEIN. It’s pointless me putting their e mail here as it’s a ****.

DO NOT EVER BUY FROM AUTUMNOOK.
I have at least R8000 worth of clothing I’ve bought from AUTUMNOOK. I’ve written, I’ve tried to contact them, just silence. Don’t be fooled by all the glitz they offer, they’re plainly *****ed. I will NEVER buy a single thing from them again. My purchasing goes way back into October. And when they have your money, they smile and hit the dirt.

DO NOT EVER BUY FROM SHEIN
I’ve got at least 15 items ordered from October that have never been delivered. When I write to try and get a refund, or the items I PAID FOR, I get some CHINESE GOIBKE DEE **** send to me. I can’t read or write Chinese. You’re selling me stuff to SOUTH AFRICA. WE SPEAK ENGLISH IN THIS COUNTRY. I will NEVER buy anything from them again. They are a *****ed Chinese sweat factory.

LOST VERY EXPENSIVE BRACELET CAUSED BY DEO GLORIA BAD WORKMANSHIP
If I could write a MINUS 100 I would. I gave in a gold linked bracelet, valued fairly at R50,000. They insisted the pins needed to be replaced, as they were getting thin. So I paid R6,000 to have new link pins in. I assumed they’d be tight, and therefore safe. It wasn’t even a month when the bracelet fell off my wrist, unbeknown to me. So there goes R56,000 bracelet. They would never admit to bad workmanship. So I’ve come here to warn anyone in Sunward Park, to stay far away from them. I’m furious, this bracelet was not only expensive, but it was special. I daresay they would not give a fig for their bad pins not tightened enough to not fall out. I wish I knew where that bracelet was now.

Look up JEDANNA’S DEZINES in the 2025 book of DECOR AND DESIGN 2025.
I bought a fabulous original piece of artwork from JEDANNA’S DEZINES. She checked to see if her stamp was on the back of the painting, and signed by her. She packed it in a protective piece of her packaging, then bubble wrapped it, and then it was time to go home with an original piece of JEDANNA’S DEZIGNS. She is in the book DECOR&DESIGN 2025. So if you’re interested that’s where I found her. An outstanding artist of many mixed medias.

WOK N ROLL IS DISGUSTING
If I could give this restaurant a minus 50, I would. I ordered Peking Duck at almost R300. And asked for a hot plate. My food arrived on a cold plate. The duck was so dried out and so unappetizing, I put my plate aside. Plus the duck was ice cold. I asked the waiter if the duck should be served hot or cold, and he said “hot”. Well it was cold and as dried out as shoe leather. The pancakes that came with the duck were just dried out and ice cold. We ordered rice as an “extra”. Which cost a fortune. It too was ice cold. This restaurant which could easily take 100 or more people, was empty, but for us, and two other patrons. Don’t for your own sake, go and order anything from this restaurant. It’s quite disgusting. SHEIN IS DELIVERING JUNK
Almost all of the shoes I ordered, arrived today in the wrong size. One packet had a 42 and a 40 in it. One was too small, and overall they’re cheap, ****ty shoes. I’ve had so many items of clothing that were wrongly sized, and not my size. Whatever you do, don’t shop there, it’s Chinese junk. And there’s no way to get a refund or even contact them. They make sure you can only buy from them, but there is no return system.
