Having a placed and paid for an online order for several seeds, at the beginning of January 2025, totaling R 1138.50, inclusive of shipping and Vat, I have yet to receive same. All items were indicated to be in stock and available. All attempts to contact "The Flower Cartel", by email (the only indicated form of contact), to ascertain the whereabouts of this order, remain unanswered.
Circa October '22 I received an appliance purchsed from Makro online, for R2199.00. In mid December '22, when I went to use the appliance, it was found to be faulty. On or about 21 December '22 I returned the item to the Riverside store and was informed that it would be returned to the supplier for assessment. On 27 January '23 I received an "sms" stating that "Makro Repair ID 2814082 approved for refund. On 30 January '23 I presented to the staff at the Riverside store and was issued with a "Refund Confirmation" (Order no: 0187842613). I was also informed that the refund would take 48 hours to process, as this had to take place at head office. When on 13 February '23 no refund had reflect, I again took it up with the Riverside store and was given the assurance that my query would be dealt with and feedback provided. In the absence of the refund reflecting or in any feedback, I contacted the Makro Online helpline on 17 February '23 and was informed that I must once again take up the issue with the Riverside store.
On 9 October '22 ordered two items online. On 13 October '22 the one item was delivered. The 2nd item was scheduled for delivery on or before 25 October '22. On 3 November '22 contacted the call centre, as the item still had not been delivered. Operstor undertook to investigate and to revert. Still no response!!
This company is just a scam and appears not to exist. They advertise extensively on various forms of social media. After accepting and paying for a reasonably priced quote for the purchase and transport of two shipping containers, was passed on to a logistics company, KS Trans Logistics, purporting to be based in Zeerust. They demanded a further amount, equivalent to the value of the containers, for insurance, (claimed to be refundable) which was not quoted for. Highveld Containers then washed their hands of the transaction, saying that it was in the hands of the logistics company, and that they were only a middleman, despite having accepted payment in full. Electronic Funds Transfers utilise a Tyme Bank account.

Having placed a confirmed order, which was settled in full, on 28 September 2020, I am, as at 20 October 2020, still waiting for confirmation of the installation of the purchased security products. All quotes clearly state that delivery will take place between 7 and 10 working days. This would indicate that installation should have taken place between 7 and 12 October 2020. In the absence of any communication from Maxidor, a telephonic approach was made to the listed contact number on 19 October 2020. Despite an undertaking to investigate and to revert, no response has been forthcoming.
