This is deceptive marketing; they auto-renew you for a yearly subscription without explicit action. This should be *******! They make it seem you're getting a promotional deal for a 1 USD course, but this is a veiled trial for their plus annual subscription.
It's horrible how customers have so few recourses regarding Internet service in South Africa: 1 month, 2 ISPs, and 3 technician visits. No one can tell me why my fiber is not working. They asked me to log yet another fault with my ISP, and the technician accused me of lying about my installation since the loss was too high and there was no way the internet would work. I canceled my order today -- a very disappointed customer.
I have been a customer of Webafrica for over 3 years. and Saturday without any prior warning I was informed that my fibre line was disconnect. I had to wait until Monday for someone from "provisioning" to contact me. Needless to say, this did not happen. Took me 3 more hours to get hold of support on Monday, just to be informed of the same thing. Essentially out of nowhere without prior warnings my service was disconnected while I am still being charged without fault.
