I'm giving these guys 5 stars for great effort! I understand that the staff work under a lot of pressure and also deal with unhappy taxpayers on a daily basis. Their phone lines is a hassle to get through on so I decided to stop at the technical department and report the plumbing issue in front of our complex. The ladies in the office is courteous and friendly and they immediately picked up the phone and arranged for a team to attend to the problem. An hour later the plumbing guys stopped in front of our residence and immediately attended to the issue. This isn't a stroke of luck, they have given me consistent prompt service - irregardless of the loads of work required to get attention all over town. Great work guys - and ladies in the office. I can see you put effort in and I just want so say that it doesn't go unnoticed!
Ja ne! A lot of controversy about DSTV and ol's Steve Hofmeyer smashing his decoder and people complaining about shows on repeat and and etc etc. But let me say this... I have NEVER hassled with DSTV's call centre. I have never hassled with my bill every month. No need ever to need to stand in a queue anywhere to get faults sorted. Telkom, Vodacom and other large service providers can really follow the system that DSTV has in place. Simple. Easy. No hours waiting so speak to a consultant and no need to transfer me to another department ever. Whoever is on the line can assist no matter what your issue is. I called 2 days ago after failing my diy efforts on getting the error on screen cleared. After confirming my details the lady assisted with a step by step reboot and some updates on the settings and voila! No frustration, no confusion. 2 Minutes later I was done! Efficient service is scarcely sown amongst the service provider giants - calling the bank support line or a cell service provided normally ends after a20-40 minute frustrating call - but I dare you - pick up a phone and dial, try out the app or even send a whatsapp and see how simple it is to change, upgrade, cancel, get statements, clear errors. I wish this was industry standard everywhere! Thanks DSTV - here's to me still being loyal for many years to come!
Terrible technical telephonic services. Would not recommend if youre looking for a system with a technical support system! On the logs I can clearly see that our system stopped operating after a firmware update. And MANY calls through to their technical department leaves me with a guy with a foreign accent difficult to understand what he is saying and he was going to escalate the issue with their tech dept and still no call back no follow up and no change to the issue on the device. I called the number again got through to another guy who gave me a reboot code to sms, also no joy. Tried calling back again and now IF i get through to a technician- it goes straight to voicemail and the inbox is full. Really just unacceptable.
