I just joined TPN and is very impressed with their excellent service, immediate feedback. Staff were very friendly and answered all my questions patiently. Respect!!
When upgrading, Vodacom send me the wrong phone. Trying to return it is a nightmare. The Courier blatantly lies in that they tried to collect the phone without anyone being home. I am full time at home. Funny, the original Delivery went smooth and the Courier even contacted me in advance. It seems returns are made as hard as possible to discourage clients. It is now going for 3 weeks. Pathetic.
3 Months later - I have now phoned Vodacom various times without any resolution to my Refund. They said I subscribed to a automatic Data top-up Service. I tried to cancel the so-called Service, but my App showed that I had no add on Service's, so there is nothing I can cancel. When I phoned Vodacom in the beginning, they also couldn't see the any Services, but worse was that they don't know how to cancel this Service and referred to another division. Eventually, I got a sms stating that the Service has now been cancelled (not true) and that they will refund me "out of goodwill". After seeing no refund, I called again to be told they will escalate it. Needless to say, no refund again and after another call and referral, I got an sms that states that Credit requests are subject to approval. Still, no Credit. Ref: 1-35268734490703. What chaos.
I purchased a High Pressure Hose (Black and Decker) with a 24 Month Guarantee in November 2020. After using it twice, smoke was coming out of the engine. I contacted Takealot recently (after 2 months) to collect the inferior product and sort its failure with the Supplier. To my amazement, Takealot informed me that they do not facilitate the Warranty and I must deal directly with the Supplier. When I queried their "confusing" Terms and Conditions and Return Policy that clearly state that they will collect faulty products within certain time-frames, including extended Warranties , they fist replied that my product fall under a Direct Warranty with the Supplier. When I asked them to show me where this Info is stated on the Product Page, they could not, but still refused to collect my Washer. After a few more emails, I asked them to please mention ANY product supplied by them where they do facilitate the Warranty, but bluntly did not answer me. Lastly they stated that they only facilitate a 7 day Defective or Damaged Items Policy on delivery. Clearly all their return / Warranty Policies are a joke. They change the Warranty perimeters as they see fit. They have 6 different Warranties they use to confuse their Clients nl. : - Limited - Standard - Direct - Extended. - 30 Day Return and exchange Policy - 7day Delivery Damage. In future I will rather go to Game / Makro or similar shop who will at least facilitate my Warranty. What a Joke!!!
