STAY AWAY FROM NETSTAR. Their Customer Service is the worst on the planet. After being a loyal Netstar customer for 15 years, I receive notification that my personal details were compromised in June 2025. In December I decided to move my custom to another tracking company and that is where the pathetic service started. On 22 December 2025, I tried calling their customer service department and was told that they were unable to take my call and that I should send an email instead. I sent a cancellation notification. That email obviously disappeared into a big black hole. Numerous phone calls in January had no reaction. I cancelled the January debit order on 29 January from my account only to receive threatening SMS's from lawyers 2 weeks later. NO COMMUNICATION FROM NETSTAR!!!! After numerous further phone calls, with every person you speak to having less brain cells than the previous, I have finally decided that my life span will not be lengthened by trying to deal with this *****ic company any longer and paid the outstanding amount, which by the way was incorrectly billed for a Business tracker not private FOR 15 YEARS!!!!!
Pathetic account retention department - Customer for 40 plus years and service is non existent. Nobody home - no reply to your phone calls and you are required to pay your part of the sharecall phone call cost. Trying unsuccessfully to cancel 2 x Garage Cards on my credit cards since December 2024. This service does not even exist in the bank portfolio anymore and yet you have to pay R100/month for this????? Pathetic.
Worst Printers ever made. Can't get the printer to print properly and forever paper jams
On 3 October 2024, my wife's 20 year old car got sideswiped in Sandton. It ended up at Eldan Auto Body in Pretoria West. Initially I dealt with Shaun who promised me that they were not allowed to put 2nd hand, non genuine safety critical parts on the car's mechanicals. We eventually got the car returned to us 11 November 2024. within 2 weeks the "replaced" wheel bearing started to make a noise and the car had a vibration. Of course they were now already closed for the Festive Season. Since the new year I have tried on several occasions to reach Eldan by phone, to no avail. I eventually resorted to taking the right front wheel off myself, only to find that the R5000+ "NEW" parts quoted for were replaced with old greasy defective parts and conveniently hidden behind the brake disk. They probably only paid R100 for the part. I would not trust them to fix a bicycle chain and I hope that the Motoring Ombudsman has or will soon close them down. I will also be requesting Outsurance to remove Eldan from their contracted panel beaters listing. I have subsequently been forced to replace all the parts that were supposed to have been fitted in the first place, myself at less than their quoted price. This company is staffed by *****sters!!! You will place your own life in danger if you ever use them. Don't believe the few 5 star ratings on Hellopeter. Also *****sters.
Pathetic service. Online orders system has not worked this year. Drive all the way to their Midrand shop and its closed for some pathetic reason not indicated on their website. I will take my business elsewhere. They don't exist anymore. If you are going to close at 2pm then close at 2pm NOT 1h15!!!!!!!
Quick and Easy delivery......until they get it wrong! Disputes disappear into a big black hole and never get resolved. Waiting 26 days now and still nothing. Not recommended!!!
