Order number OD436144151576391100 Call Centre Ref: 1VK0T Order was meant to be Tullamore Dew and free Devils Peak lager six pack. Only Tullamore Dew arrived. When you phone call centre they tell you that the matter has been escalated but you hear nothing more and you have no idea what is happening.

Makro poor service
An order MAK8334074 ( Defy dishwasher) which was packed on 28 November 2024 and was expected to be delivered by 2 December has not arrived. I contacted the call center on 3 November and was promised that someone would get back to me which did not happen. On 4 December at 8am, I again contacted the call center and was told again that they would get back to me urgently which has again not happened. Do not bother dealing with Makro because the customer care is non existant and nobody seems to know where this order is, or care about where it is. This is not the first time I experience this with Makro. I have specially arranged transport for this item to go to Johannesburg from KZN on Friday morning early. Who is going to carry the cost if it does not arrive by Thursday 5 December?

Makro/Value Express
I placed online orders MAK5541585 and MAK5554844 which were to have been delivered by 24\11\2023 and 27\11/2023 respectively. On 28/11/2023 I contacted Makro customer-care and was assured that orders will be delivered by latest 29/11/2023. Today 30/11/2023 order has still not been delivered and customer-care says they will escalate my query and get back to me within 24-48 hours which is what they also told me 48 hours ago. Do not bother ordering online from Makro or dealing with Value Express because you will be frustrated. A while ago I had similar frustrations with Makro and I thought they had improved and gave them another chance but I now know that things have not improved. It may be the fault of Value Express but I bought from Makro and they appoint their own couriers and should ensure my order is delivered on time.

Gs-equipments SCAM/FRAUD
Beware of this company calling itself gs-equipments supposedly based in Hangar Street Bloemfontein with phone number 051111097. They advertise as online retail for home appliances. They are a scam and once you pay they do not deliver anything. E Mail addresses are sales@gs-equipments.co.za BEWARE!!!!!

Makro Online Poor Service
On 27 November 2020 I placed an order No. MAK 2811877. This order was to be delivered to a DSV locker. The order was not delivered to the locker and when I enquired I was told that it would now be delivered to my house. It is now 08 February 2021 and I still have not received my order or a refund despite the fact that I have spoken to the call center about 10 times including to a supervisor named Sifiso. All I get is empty promises and the blame being shifted to numerous people. I have never had such bad service from any online shopping and I would strongly recommend that you stay away from Makro online.
