Refusal to replace battery under warranty 18 Feb.
On 18 February the Battery Centre refused to replace my battery which was still under warranty, claiming that it had been tampered with because of a tiny dent on the terminal. They also expected me to wait there for 6 hours while they charged it, even though it was fully charged. ( I had it checked at two other centres.) Initially they tried to hide the test result from me by talking around it. They also stated falsely that 'an alternator does not charge a battery '! ( Also tested at different centre.)

Mucician's Electronics excellent service
Excellent, friendly, efficient service. Clean and tidy workshop. Riaan repaired a number of instruments for me in the past, sometimes at very short notice when there was a crisis. Very reasonable rates. Did not want to accept payment for a small job until I insisted. Spotted the problem within seconds and fixed it there and then.

Electronics FG Excellent service
I have purchased a number of items from ElectronicsFG. Service is always good and friendly. Products are of good quality and very fairly and reasonably priced. During my last visit I took a twelve string guitar and asked for help with the electronics. Although this is completely out of their normal field of expertise, three of the assistants and managers devoted almost an hour to test the different parts. They even did some soldering and used specialised equipment. After all of this I wasn't charged for any labour or use of equipment. They wrote it off 'in the interest of science and experience'. Excellent service!
