5 Star Roofing and Waterproofing
At last, a roofing and waterproofing company that is not above doing work for average householders, as opposed to many of their competitors who take your details and do not bother to come out and quote when they realize it is not a big industrial job that is on offer (see my previous reviews on Hello Peter) They did an excellent job waterproofing an exposed balcony at my place which was creating a problem of damp in the room below it. It involved removing existing tiles, sealing and torching on a waterproof membrane, and retiling. Their team was efficient and tidy and well aquainted with what they were doing.. One word of caution though. I was asked to provide the tiling materials. At the end of the first day of tiling it became necessary to get some more tile cement and edge trim, which I asked them to purchase for me as the store is on the way to my place. I was astounded when I received the bill that an additional R800 was being charged for these purchases – more than three times the cost of these extras. I did manage to negotiate that charge down, but bear that in mind if you do engage them.

Complaint about Damp Guru
Total lack of interest. Does not return calls. When contacted eventually,asks you to support one of his competitors. Better not to bother with him in the first place.
