I took a dress in to Scarlett Red Boutique, 5 weeks ago that belonged to my late sister so this dress means a lot to me, to do some changes as she claims she is a designer of clothing, I popped in last week to see how far my Mother of the Bride dress is coming along, they only did unpicking and did the bodice piece that I requested, i was quite horrified at how little was done, then she said I should not be concerned, it will all be ok, she contacted me on Monday to come for a fitting on the 31 March 2021, she did the buttons on the back and the loops, my daughter was with me and we could not close the buttons and the workmanship was so shoddy that my soul was crushed, and she kept on saying I am over reacting and putting the blame on me, she has no people skills at all, and basically told me because I was a walk in I an second best, compared to her regular clients, the diamanté that was suppose to go on the bodice was plastic and as big as raisins, with a dress that has delicate glass beading on chiffon, and then we said ok remove the loops and buttons and only have one button on the top, and the button she suggested to use is a button for school blazers. How crazy is that. I left her shop devastated to my core and lost all confidence in her that I don’t even want to wear the dress anymore, i sent her a message to tell her my daughter will collect it as all my trust in her was gone. She then sent me a message that she can’t understand my problem and bible bashing me. So please warn people out there she is not who she says she is, and she was only prepared to give me R400 voucher even after I paid her R900-00. This is so heart breaking that people out there do this to the innocent.
