This has happened twice when ordering online with Builders Warehouse. I have paid for items (so, it doesnt say the item is out of stock and they gladly take your money), only to be advised a few days later (by the local Builders Warehouse near to oneself) that they dont have those items and will not refund you, but give you a credit note. This is rather sneaky...i actually see said item has (LOTS) of stock of the item elsewhere in the country. They should either amend their website, so one doesnt get ******* into parting with their money, OR they should ship down said items from other stores that have an abundant supply. Do better Builders!!
I foolishly didnt google search them before ordering....so didnt realise they are not even based in Cape Town until the order was processed. As per other reviewers, they are based in China. Needless to say i NEVER received my order, although i did get a courier tracking, which has said for last 3 weeks that it is somewhere in Cape Town in some bay...tried contacting the courier company, but not getting any suitable response
Great website with a wide choice of products (at competitive prices). They have always provided a speedy, personalised, service (i am based in Cape Town). Have been a customer for 10 years or so.
I probably buy items every month or so. Always been so impressed with their speedy delivery service, as well as products on offer.
Ordered and paid for lawnmower online. Showed that a Builders further away from me had in stock (not my nearest store). so i paid for the delivery fee. Advised it would be delivered on Friday 24th. Not delivered. Checked order status online on Sundy 26th, to see they had cancelled the initial order and reinstated it again to be delivered on Monday 27th Dec. They didnt deliver. I rang on Tues 28th and dealt with a helpful guy named Dilligent, who looked into this. He rang back to say 'Gerald'from the store (City) was going to ring me, as they didnt have stock and he was looking for stock. Nobody rang me. Rang again today 29th, only to be told that they may have stock around middle of Jan, but wont know until proprietor opened. Lady explained that website showed one is stock, which is display, which they dont sell. Builders - you need to sort this out!! It is disgraceful that you take a customer's money and claim something is in stock on your website, when it isnt. Also, customer service is shocking....i had to chase them up all the way. I now have to wait up to 7 business days to get my money back. I now have to buy the lawnmower elsewhere (which is no longer on a sale elsewhere). I will NOT be using Builders website to purchase anything again
