Meumann White (MW) have only replied to my review personally and not on Hellopeter (for obvious reasons) 3 weeks later albeit...ive paid the required money to advertise for the lost title deed and deeds office fee. but after seeing the review here they now want me to remove the review then only will they proceed. so i asked them to refund my money which i paid for the lost title deed and they will not refund, yet they've done nothing ie. no work...
2 weeks ago my property came up for rates clearance and my current attorneys needed my title deeds. when I handed them the envelope they noticed that there was only 1 title deed in it because in actual fact I'm supposed to have 2 title deeds. 1 year ago I bought 50% share of my partner and so Im supposed to have 2 titles deeds to which I was not aware off, my attorneys at that time was Meumann White. When Meumann White handed me the envelope I had signed it and apparently there were 2 title deeds. According to the Meumann White PRO a title deed has 4 pages in total, my ex-partners portion only has 3 pages! I saw 3 pages in total so like any lay person I thought that both shares were now on my name on 1 title deed, little did I know I meant to have 2 separate title deeds. When I asked Meumann White about it they said I signed for 2, my response was yes I did sign for "the" title deeds. no one at Meumann White informed me Im meant to have 2 separate title deeds, they were the last people to have my portion of my title deed. Now I have to re-apply for my portion of the title deeds at my cost ie. advertising costs and deeds office fee to which they still have not told me the cost off even though they messed up. Meumann White will pay for the smallest cost of this entire re-application of my title deeds. Meumann White did not offer a solution to the problem until I asked for one and did not take responsibility for their negligence and instead passed the blame onto me. As the client I should have been informed that when I bought out my partners portion Im meant to have 2 separate title deeds. Like anyone else you would assume that if you buy your partner out your name would be on 1 title deed because the property is now under 1 ownership. Bad customer relations, failure to inform the client how procedure of title deeds work and total negligence by Meumann White...very disappointing!
