I bought a house in 2012 and they did my transfer of deeds. That was done and I had no issues. In 2015 I wanted to take off an owner on the deeds and was thinking Meumann White Attorneys did this in 2012 and why not use them again. They did the deeds for me, and it cost me in the region of R35k. In 2024 I found out that the owner I took off the deeds are still an owner on the property. I'm currently abroad and I ask a friend who is in the property business to assist me with this, and she wrote and email asking for assistance of why this person is still an owner of the property if Meumann White Attorneys has done the new deeds for me. I received no answer from the email. Now I have to do the whole process again and pay again another attorney to do this. This is not acceptable, and I should be refunded my R35k.

Where to begin. They got in contact with me in August 2022 regarding a House I wanted to purchase everything went well the 1st month regarding payment and paperwork...... then it all come crashing down the property on its own had issues the sellers where busy with a divorce and owed a lot of money so the bank refused to let the property go the sellers were given a Court date of 3 months to come up with the money and failed at doing so....not much communication as I was the one constantly calling and checking up on the progress and making appointments to see what's going on after 4 months of back and forth and losing other house that was on the market I asked to pls cancel my offer to purchase I was then informed I needed a new attorney to this or I will be held in breach ...... I then sent an email asking the attorney to hold the sellers I breach as the court date gave them 3 months to come up.with the money and they did not ..... still now have not received a response from December of 2022 no communication I then called in Feb to ask again what's going on then they got back with some more **** and I am still waiting no house NO refund. What do I do in a situation like this.

Bad experience with these attorneys when they were appointed by me to handle the transfer of my property guys beware. They bill you un necessary and don't return calls. Considering taking them up to the law society because this robbery shouldn't go un noticed

Had the most awful experience with using Meumann and White Attorneys to do our transfer, not only did they make mistakes, they did not communicate that they had made mistakes but had just kept quiet, they continuously gave i correct information regarding the status of the transfer, they refused to pay any damages suffered by us during this process,

These attorneys from the KZN Berea branch manipulated and overpriced their fees once there was a willingness to settle their legal cost. Further, our view was that these cost should have not even have been for us because the party that actually defaulted got away with no implications. These attorneys saw an easy target and used their influences to attach items from our property thus forcing us to pay manipulated fees. I have logged an official compliant with the Legal Practice Council on the 6th of August 2021 and am awaiting feedback.

Meumann White (MW) have only replied to my review personally and not on Hellopeter (for obvious reasons) 3 weeks later albeit...ive paid the required money to advertise for the lost title deed and deeds office fee. but after seeing the review here they now want me to remove the review then only will they proceed. so i asked them to refund my money which i paid for the lost title deed and they will not refund, yet they've done nothing ie. no work...

2 weeks ago my property came up for rates clearance and my current attorneys needed my title deeds. when I handed them the envelope they noticed that there was only 1 title deed in it because in actual fact I'm supposed to have 2 title deeds. 1 year ago I bought 50% share of my partner and so Im supposed to have 2 titles deeds to which I was not aware off, my attorneys at that time was Meumann White. When Meumann White handed me the envelope I had signed it and apparently there were 2 title deeds. According to the Meumann White PRO a title deed has 4 pages in total, my ex-partners portion only has 3 pages! I saw 3 pages in total so like any lay person I thought that both shares were now on my name on 1 title deed, little did I know I meant to have 2 separate title deeds. When I asked Meumann White about it they said I signed for 2, my response was yes I did sign for "the" title deeds. no one at Meumann White informed me Im meant to have 2 separate title deeds, they were the last people to have my portion of my title deed. Now I have to re-apply for my portion of the title deeds at my cost ie. advertising costs and deeds office fee to which they still have not told me the cost off even though they messed up. Meumann White will pay for the smallest cost of this entire re-application of my title deeds. Meumann White did not offer a solution to the problem until I asked for one and did not take responsibility for their negligence and instead passed the blame onto me. As the client I should have been informed that when I bought out my partners portion Im meant to have 2 separate title deeds. Like anyone else you would assume that if you buy your partner out your name would be on 1 title deed because the property is now under 1 ownership. Bad customer relations, failure to inform the client how procedure of title deeds work and total negligence by Meumann White...very disappointing!
