I am bitterly disappointed and extremely upset with the quality of frames of spectacles at Spec-Savers. I have been a loyal customer of Spec-Savers since 2012 and that loyalty sadly ended today. In the past I purchased spectacles from Spec-Savers and I had no hassles or issues. I still have in my possession spectacles of the Levi's brand I purchased in 2016. I then bought my current glasses which have bigger frame in June 2021 at the Rondebosch branch of Spec-Savers in Cape Town. I paid a whopping R6 700 for the Diesel brand of spectacles, the price included lenses. Yesterday when I put on my glasses the handle fell off. I thought it was ***** that was loose and fell off. I went to Spec- Saver in Rondebosch to ask for assistance with fixing of the specs. The response i got to my request was shocking and disappointing. The lady who attended to me told me in no uncertain terms that Spec-Savers will not fix the frame of my spectacles because it was broken. πππ¦She further said since the insurance of the glasses is valid for 2 yrs they cannot help me. She then suggested something ridiculous "Buy another frame since you are due for new glasses". I found this silly and unbelievable. How can this lady expect me to buy an expensive frame when I have just shown that the expensive frames sold by Spec- Savers are poor quality?π π π For the record the policy of Spec-Savers states that all glasses and sunglasses come with free lifetime servicing including minor repairs at no extra cost to the customer. By being unable and or refusing to repair my glasses, Spec-Savers unable to live up to their policy.
On the 17 March 2021 I bought a dining room suit with a server cash at The Living Room Interior Design Cape Town branch. After 2 days they delivered and assembled the table, the server was defective. This resulted in this defective server being returned to the shop by the persons who delivered it. The sales lady from the Living Room Interiror Design Cape Town branch promised me that a new server will be ordered from Johannesburg and delivered to me within a week. After a week I had not received any feedback from the Cape Town branch of the said interior design establishment. I then contacted their customer service on the 25 March 2021 and I spoke to Zizipho. She promised to send the server the following day. On 31 March 2021 I called and I spoke to Zizipho again, she apologized and told me that she spoke to her manager and promised that the server will be delivered to me soonest. She even gave me her cell phone number. On the 07 April 2021 I sent a whatsapp message to Zizipho. In response she said that the truck left with my server from Johannesburg to Cape Town. She then indicated that I should wait for a call from the courier. I followed up weekly with Zizipho on whatsapp to trace the server, however I was repeatedly told the server will be delivered. It is now a month later and I still do not have the server. I am struggling to get the server I paid for. As a result of being moved from pillar to post, I told Zizipho that I am tired of their unfulfilled promises and their mediocre service. I then asked for the full refund of the Dining room suite and the undelivered server. With my refunded money I intend purchasing a dining room suite and server at another furniture shop in Cape Town. I proceeded to ask Zizipho for the email address and the name of the owner because I wanted my money refunded. She said employees are not allowed to give out the name of their boss. I have now reached a dead end with the Living Room Interior Design. It is on this basis that I appeal for your intervention. I therefore lodge a complaint against this establishment. I need assistance to recover my money or get my server delivered.
