I am extremely frustrated and emotionally exhausted with the ongoing issues I am experiencing with my medical aid. Why do we, as members, have to struggle so much before matters are resolved? Please can I urgently receive the full details of my daughter’s consultation on 09/10/2025. I called on the morning before she consulted to confirm everything, and since then I have made numerous calls trying to resolve this matter. Each time I am told something different. One day I am told the issue has been resolved, and the next day I am told that I will receive an invoice from the doctor. This back-and-forth has been going on for far too long. I am emotionally drained from constantly having to fight for valid claims to be paid. In addition to this, I am still dealing with an outstanding hospital account from last year. I am now receiving messages that the matter has been handed over to ITCBA by Lancet, which is truly overwhelming and stressful. Can someone please take ownership of my case and assist me in getting all of these issues resolved as a matter of urgency? I would really appreciate clear communication, detailed feedback, and a final resolution. Please treat this as urgent. I simply want peace of mind and clarity regarding my medical aid claims.
I would like to raise a complaint about Umvuso Health Medical Scheme. This situation has been extremely stressful and is affecting my peace of mind. I do not understand why I am still dealing with an issue from July and October last year. I have called several times to try and resolve this matter, but unfortunately nothing has been done. What is even more concerning is that I am now receiving messages from attorneys threatening to blacklist me. I have had to fight with these attorneys and repeatedly explain that my medical aid already paid the account. It is very frustrating and emotionally draining because I cannot ignore these calls, as this could negatively affect my credit record. I am stressed and frustrated because I receive calls from attorneys almost every day regarding this matter. I would really appreciate urgent assistance in resolving this issue and ensuring that my details are cleared and that the attorneys stop contacting me. Please treat this matter as urgent.
Still not heard from Umvuzo.......I’m not sure how to handle this anymore. I was hospitalized in July and followed the correct procedure with my medical aid to request authorization. After my discharge, a month later I started receiving emails from lawyers demanding that I settle the account. I immediately called my medical aid, and they told me that they had paid the bill. However, I kept receiving the emails and assumed they were automated since the medical aid had already paid. I included my medical aid in the emails I received to make sure they would settle the bill, as I was acting as a middleman. Even though I included them, I never saw any response. Now I’m still getting emails saying that I owe money, and I’m afraid I will end up blacklisted because this debt is in my name. Why is this happening? What am I paying my medical for? What service am I paying? Almost 6 months and yet nothing concrete happened?

It is heartbreaking to pay medical aid and not miss the payment whereas you need to claim it's a struggle. How many times should we call before we can get help? I'm now taken to the lawyers with something i believe I should have get helped long time ago. I lost count on how many times I called. I asked for authorization while in ER but to my surprise the money is not yet paid and I'm getting letters from lawyers. I called several times to enquire about this but still I didn't get any help
Why do we have to struggle when we inquire about what is due to us? My psychologist has already submitted a form to apply for medical aid PMB, yet it takes ages to get a response. But when it comes to deducting their fees at the end of the month, they do it so quickly. I’m currently suffering because my medical aid doesn’t seem to care about my mental health. How much longer should we have to wait for a response?
It's been months and months seeking help from Vodacom with my fiber. Instead, they all tell me different stories and close my call without help. I asked for my fiber to be moved. I made a call to Umvuzo Health yesterday between 12:45 and 13:16. The first lady I spoke to was extremely rude and hung up the phone on me while I was asking her questions. She seemed very impatient. I then called again and spoke to Sarah, explaining my previous experience with her colleague. She took down my details and assured me she would speak to her Team Leader, promising they would get back to me. However, I am still awaiting that call. Fast forward to when I spoke to Sarah about my query: there's a doctor who claimed something, and I am not fami**** with that doctor. Sarah advised me to send an email. I'm writing this with a heavy heart not knowing what to do anymore. I used my money to attend a Psychology last year December, I'm still waiting for my refund up untill today. I lost count on how many times I called and was told I would get my money that month. What am I paying medical aid fund for if I can't get my benefits? I have never used a **** medical aid like this one. I regret the day I took this medical aid scheme. No one ever came back to me after I complained about how I don't understand why is my daughter's benefits not kicking in immediately.This medical is useless for me,they just want to take money out of you.
I'm so disappointed with Umvuzo medical scheme and I want this matter to be reviewed. My daughter changed her medical aid from her previous to mine(Imvuso). She has been on her previous medical aid since she was born and decided to change to mine in January. She is turning 13yrs in May. I was shocked to hear that she needs to wait for 3months in order for her benefits to kicks in. We have produced the certificate for her previous medical aid. What shocked most is their consultants are not well informed because they are giving me different stories. I called several times being told that it is possible for her medical aid to be active immediately. I was actually advised by one of their own to speak to my HR to ask medical aid scheme to activate her benefits immediately however now I'm running pillar to post. They told me all the requirements I need in order for her to qualify her benefits immediately.
