I was expecting a money transfer from Australia via Western Union Bank. I received a call from Sikhona Money Transfers requesting me to fill out a questionnaire in order for them to place the funds into my bank account. I immediately thought this is a ****. I know nothing about these guys, no one told me about this. Anyway, after visiting a Western Union branch (at an Absa Bank) the staff also knew nothing about Sikhona Money Transfers. They did supply me with the International Banking contact number which I called when I returned home. They confirmed that the company was indeed legit and I proceeded with filling out the information by following the link they sent me. I immediately received a confirmation email thanking me for using their services. Well, 20 minutes later I received another email confirming that the funds are now in my bank account. When I checked my banking App, the money was there. Really great service, thanks!
Instrusol just installed a hybrid off grid solar system at our home in East London. The installation is of superior quality and extremely neat. What blew me away is that their pricing was substantially more cost effective that the quotes I received from other big name vendors. The owner really knows his industry and was present to program the inverters and commission the installation of all the equipment. Very friendly team indeed. I would strongly recommend them for any solar or power backup requirements!
I think Telkom oversells their fiber packages. What you pay for is not what you receive. Once the entire country returns home from work, the data speeds plummet. Trying to reach them at night is impossible. Holding on whilst an automated message plays for up to 10 minutes trying to get in touch with the relevant branch, just to be notified that they are closed. I would recommend anything but Telkom when it comes to Internet Service providers.
It's so easy to dupe the population into signing up for a gym contract by forcing flyers into car windows at the traffic lights and promising a healthy environment, friendly staff, etc., etc. But just try to cancel a contract, or let alone miss a payment or two, and they will spam your school kid with threats of being handed over. I received screenshots from my daughter, with intimidating threats of ITC Listing. Not one or two... up to 10 SMS's per minute for almost half an hour. How dare they intimidate a minor like that? I am appalled. If there is a plausible reason for this spamming, I would like an explanation.
