I called the pharmacy at Bothasig Medirite, Cape Town, spoke to the sister on duty, Tuesday, 16 September 2025 @ 15h00. I was not completed and wanted to make an appointment, but she abruptly ended my call. When I called back and asked why she had placed the phone down when I was not finished, she started intensely arguing with me, rather than apologizing and making the appointment!!!!!. If this is the kind of service you offer your clients, then I do not want to be a client of yours!!!!! Medical personnel is supposed to assist, not argue and shout! I hope not all your patrons get treated so badly.
Absolutely shocking. I paid my medical aid arrears when i was still at home during lock down with no income. I believed it was important to have a medical aid during this time. I was 2 months in arrears. I also paid extra for the following month just in case i fall short. After discussing this with numerous consultants which was extremely rude, they confirmed they automatically cancel the medical after 3 months of no payment received (once again, i was 2 months in arrears). They also refuse to refund me the extra i have paid only to advise me to re-sign with Bonitas and they will use the extra cash as down payment. I was informed i will lose all my benefits when i re-sign as well. I was shocked when they informed me of this. I will never, never, never, never advise anyone to sign with them.
