Medirite Pharmacies
Based on recent customer reviews, Medirite Pharmacies receives largely critical feedback centred on staff conduct and operational reliability across multiple branches. Customers consistently mention rude or dismissive interactions with pharmacists and cashiers, unanswered phone lines, and difficulties collecting chronic and scheduled medication on time. A recurring theme involves perceived inflexibility when assisting loyal patients with prescriptions. Concerns about expired or near-expiry stock and uncomfortable encounters around sensitive medication requests also surface. On a positive note, certain branches and individual staff members are praised for going above and beyond to secure medication and offer knowledgeable product recommendations.

I was sold a box of 30 Ibugesic tablets, that was manufactured in Aug 2024, and expires July 2026. Unfortunately I noticed this when I was home, should have checked the expiry date while in the shop. I only checked for allergex, because I wanted to take 2 boxes. Their stock taking and inventory is not in order. So I am not pleased, and can't bear the inconvenience of going to the mall, there's traffic and it's packed. I was assisted by Bheki, whomever didn't see anything wrong when I called. From 2024, where were these tablets at???

28 April 2026 To whom this may concern. For the last 3 months Village Square Medi Rite has been playing with my livelihood/pain. I was diagnosed with CRPS. I have been collecting my meds from this specific Medi Rite since 2014. Every month. For the last 3 months, AFTER I sent in my order like I usually do, it gets left behind with a ton of excuses. This month on the 20th already I sent in my order. Saturday when I phoned, a gentleman pharmacist said no he placed the order now as it was not done. This was on the 25th April 2026. Yesterday I enquired and Rai said it will be there yesterday or today. She was not there on the 20th so she didnt know about the email. Keeps on saying thay it is high schedule meds. I am not stupid. I know it is high schedule meds. I follow protocol. Or maybe they don't have stock. Her excise as well. Surely you check beforhand, especially if you know that this product can run out of stock. But this is becoming a case of the patient has to accept that this is the poor quality service we are receiving from Village Square, Randfontein. This is the 3rd month where I am left without my much needed pain medication and she is just oblivious to the critical situation I find myself in. This is UNACCEPTABLE! I have, as well as my daughter on numerous occasions told her what my condition is and the pain that goes with it. What is going on at Medi Rite for this poor service? I am kindly requesting that a Senior Manager or Supervisor phones me today. I NEED MY MEDS TODAY!!!!! Sent from my HONOR phone -------- Original message -------- From: Chantal Britz Date: Mon, 20 Apr 2026, 07:39 Subject: Morphine Ampules, C. Britz 20 April2026 Good morning. I have been calling Bothasig Medirite Pharmacy on 0215580786,since the morning no one is picking up the phone there. I then proceeded to call the head office on 0800 222 617 I still got no joy as no one answered that time I need medication which they have my script for.

Allergies can appear at the worst of times. I used a good anti-inflammatory spray on a twisted ankle, and was shocked to find swelling and blisters. The pharmacist recommended Bettamed Sensitive Oxygen Spray for burns, leg ulcers, cuts, slow healing, woulds, pressure sores, nappy rash and itching. The itchiness and swelling disappeared within a few hours. Each bottle contains 200ml of liquid. I'll be sure to keep it in my first aid kit. It really is a miracle spray. My daughter used it on stinging post-operative scars, and the relief was almost immediate. Make sure to keep this in stock. Available from Medirite and other outlets.

I received terrible service from Sibusiso Mahlangu at Medirite montana early in the morning, firstly he ignored me while I was on the que, I then decided to approach him, greeted him but he still continued with packing some paperwork. When I asked him if he was open for assisting customers on his till he rudely asked me "how can I help you",very shocking how people don't value customers.I am just disappointed in the kind of service we receive as clients

Very rude Assistant Pharmacist his name is Mandla Mathonsi at Medirite in Sandton city. He doesn’t ask the relevant questions he assumed im paying cash then gets annoyed when i tell him its medical aid. He asks for my ID number n not specify he needs for the main member, then obviously it wont go through as im buying medication for my son who is under my Husbands medical aid, then he goes n mocks me that why would i want your ID number when you not even on the medical aid. Iv never felt so stupid in my life then he still goes in and argue that im not on the medical aid i shouldnt give him my ID, i gave him my ID assuming that he needs to put it down as a person who bought the meds. He went on making noise right there then dismissed me.
