Ordered online - a wingback chair in March 2021, everything online was straight forward and got invoice. I waited for some sort of correspondence and eventually chased to be told the fabric was complete and they were waiting for the chair... I chased 2 weeks later to be told delivery would be scheduled for early part of the following week. Sadly I heard nothing (see a pattern developing here?) so I emailed and called and eventually was told they were waiting on the fabric..... (hang on wasn’t this completed weeks ago?) On 14th May I received an email from beetroot... we’ve gone out of business as they don’t have any money. Utter shambles from start to finish... I’ve lost my money and a chair. I don’t know if there is a way of claiming my money back but I went to the address in Pretoria which was a locked up warehouse... (thought maybe I might be able to speak to someone). Website / Facebook all taken down. No answer with number. No response to emails. If anyone has any kick tracking down the director let me know!
