I have an issue. My grandma passed away in January 2021. She had a policy at Prosperity Assupol. So, we went to claim in one of the branches in Vincent East London. A day before the funeral we received a call from them saying the policy lapsed since May 2020 although it was deducting straught from SASSA. Each year I call and ask if the policy is still up to date and we were told that it is still up to date. My grandma did not indeed alter the bank account to say that they could not deduct since the bank account was changed. We went to SASSA and got a printout stating that there is a R100 deduction, so I discover it inconceivable for a policy deducting straight from SASSA to lapse just like that. I went to submit the printout to them and after few days when I call they told me they never received any printout after days of not answering their calls.
