Property Maverick - running away from your responsibilities?!
I used Property Maverick (Riccardo and Gina) to rent out my flat in Cape Town on a managed basis (they screen and find a tenant and then manage the monthly rent and any issues). They failed dismally. They found a tenant and gave him occupation without him having paid a deposit or any rental up front. Two months down the line and I'm still waiting for a lease agreement and any money. I asked the agent to evict the tenant eventually, so Riccardo fixed a chain and lock on the apartment. The tenant got the police to unlock. Needless to say, the tenant is ignoring all my calls and messages now and so does Property Maverick. The claim that they have no responsibility to collect my rent, deposit or send me the lease agreement. Worst communication (lack of) and washing hands of any responsibilities. No integrity. I'd stay well clear of Property Maverick!
