Poor experience. When I asked the store if they have stock of a certain laptop, they said yes. A few minutes later they increased the price by a few thousand Rands. Will not shop here ever. The contact on Instagram kept making excuses and never apologised. It seems like a scam company. Don’t shop here. You will lose your money
Its taken several poor experiences over the last few months from Woolworths South Africa. This complaint addresses their online shopping experience over the last few months. I will no longer be shopping at Woolworths as they are a waste and do not value their customers. Shopping online is easy. The delivery sucks. Ordering food and clothes together is a nightmare. Food is delivered first and then the clothes order is untraceable. We have to keep following up with them and when talking to them via Facebook, their staff managing the social media platforms have no way of acknowledging the complaint and have no way of chatting to a customer that is experiencing a problem. The moment a company starts thinking the customer is a problem, thats when you will start to lose business by not listening to the complaint. Delivery occurs after 5pm every time we order. Delivery is in an unmarked vehicle with ill-dressed delivery persons. No indication that this is a delivery from a so called luxury company. At one point the delivery vehicle pulled up to my driveway and i thought i was being hijacked. Latest delivery was received after 5pm yet was promised before 5pm. I cant believe in this day and age something like delivery is so difficult with Woolworths yet Checkers, Takealot, Pnp, Mr Price, Foschini, etc, all have super efficient delivery systems and you are updated along the way. Woolworths are pathetic. They have lost my business. The latest delivery contained an item of clothing that had the magnetic tag still on. Further frustration to go back to the actual store only to be told at the Returns department in Woolworths Pavilion, that I need to present the actual tax invoice and NOT the page that came with the delivery. All of this nonsense just to remove the magnetic tag which beeped when I went into the store. My spouse bought the item on her account and I had to call her while she was in a meeting, get her to log onto her Woolworths profile, take screenshots of the invoice and send to me and in turn show the cashier. Pathetic service all round. I trust who ever deals with complaints should be wise to at least apologize because your social media staff act like they are doing me a favour.
Very dodgy company to deal with. I enquired about a laptop and they said it is still available. Right after I enquired, they changed the price from R12800 to R16500 and gave a lame explanation. Will not trust this company and it seems their HelloPeter reviews below are fake.
