Altcoin Trader has had my account blocked since November 2025. It is now February 2026, and the matter remains unresolved. Initially, I was informed: "We are unable to further assist you as the bank reported ***** on your account. Please have your bank contact us at *****@altcointrader.co.za with regard to removing the hold on the account. We are unable to remove the hold unless the bank corresponds with us directly and advises us that the reported transaction is not *****ulent." I contacted ABSA, and they followed the exact instructions provided by Altcoin Trader by emailing them directly to confirm that the transaction was not *****ulent. However, after ABSA comp****, I was then informed that I must also contact Nedbank (the receiving bank) to confirm that the hold was removed. This requirement was never mentioned in the original communication. The process has been extremely frustrating because the requirements appear to change each time I comply with the previous request. Additionally, my experience with the ***** call assistant was disappointing, as I found the interaction to be rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. I am simply asking for clear, consistent communication and a definitive resolution to a matter that has now been ongoing for several months.
Premiums are low and the agent Tshepo Malope was friendly, patient and helpful.
