DO NOT EVER BOOK ROOM 409, 117 ON STRAND, CAPE TOWN
We have never had such poor holiday accommodation EVER. I have never in my life complained about holiday accommodation & I am 70 years old!! NEVER book Room 409 as this room overlooks black roofs & also, a 3-storey building overlooks it giving a sense of total lack of privacy. The picture that convinced us to book this accommodation showed distant sea views - Totally misleading! To make matters worse there were rock climbers practicing climbing in front of our balcony & peering into our room. The phone does not work. The owner has not bothered to put welcoming touches in the room unlike a 2nd room that we booked for a friend that had good welcoming touches & was sunny & bright. We felt uncomfortable from the moment we first stepped into the room & contacted Yvette Dawson, the agent, and requested her for a refund so that we could book out. A day later she has not phoned back despite promising to do so. To our surprise & disgust we found out today, our 2nd day of our stay that the room is only cleaned every 3rd day and that means that we are living in a filthy room for which we have paid good money - As we have booked for 3 days it means our room will never be cleaned during our stay - Beyond belief!! I suggest that this room in particular should be rented out at 50% of the normal rate because that is truly what it's worth. TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT DO NOT EVER BOOK 409 OF 117 ON Strand

POOR DIMING EXPERIENCE
We orderered a platter for R325. It was most disappointing - The various items on the platter were not at all fresh tasting and were generally dry and rather tasteless. We weren't warned that ithe platter comes with a lot of rotti dough squares which were there no doubt to fill the plate on which the platter came. We noticed that the manager was outside smoking and talking away rather than managing. It was a bad experience and we will definitely never go to any Mytbos!
