I feel like I basically got scammed. I thought this was the coolest, most convenient service when a friend suggested this to me after relocating - it seemed so innovative and convenient - only to be sorely let down on my first try using it. After being approved and successfully placing an order - after which the money was promptly debited from my account (same day) - their app would not let me verify my identity as it kept timing out and the camera wasn’t loading - despite me giving the app all necessary permissions. Uploading my proof of residence and verifying my bank account worked just fine though. I thought it was a fluke or a network issue and so I tried multiple times. even changing locations to ensure the best network connection to no avail. At this point; what promised to be a seamless and convenient process was bringing me more frustration than anything. I tried using the help bot/tab on the app only to be directed to an FAQ article on their website that didn’t help at all. Eventually reached out to customer service (which they only have via email), after already deleting and reinstalling the app on my device several times. Only to have to go through 4-5 different agents all of whom kept asking me to either reinstall the app, clear the cache and/or cookies on my phone and try another device. I had already tried the first two multiple times, and couldn’t use another device as I didn’t have access to one as I live on my own. The customer service - if you can even call it that - was appalling and I had to explain myself anew to each and every agent I got redirected. All this frustration because THEIR app FAILED to operate correctly. They had to trigger a cancellation from their side cause apparently no one in their organisation could assist me and now I cannot use the app for the next 3-months and all because they couldn’t deliver on what they promised and their system failed me as a customer. To say i’m disappointed would be an understatement. I still haven’t received my refund - they’re so prompt to take your money but drag their feet to help you when something goes wrong. Honestly feels a lot like being scammed. I can’t believe I actually recommended this to anyone else and now have to caution them to not use it in case they get basically scammed like I did. Such a failure of an otherwise bright and innovative business model, a disappointg lack of empathy and customer service.
Leased a place at Monte Falco Residential Complex. where TRSS are guards and its honestly just been the biggest, ongoing living nightmare. Because of these guards it sadly has proved to be such an awful and unsafe place to stay, especially as a young single women. Since moving in here I have sadly been subjected to nothing but targeting and even abuse by the security guard staff. They are constantly aggressive, misogynistic and xenophobic. I once felt so unsafe at midnight, due to the security guards, that I had to call the Douglasdale SAPS (police) to come protect me and my roommates and get the security guards to leave us alone. The next day in an incident report, the guards lied and told estate management they called the police on us (an apartment full of *young women*), despite they have no evidence; meanwhile I had both the cellphone records as well as case/reference number to prove that I had called the police. I never felt safe in my complex since that incident. Not only are they aggressors, but they also tell tall tales to cove the hinds. If you see that TRSS are the hired security when viewing a property, I would strongly suggest investing somewhere else.
Leased a place at Monte Falco Residential Complex through Tanya and her team and its honestly just been the biggest, ongoing living nightmare. Despite paying a holding deposit to secure the place 5 weeks in advance, going on 12 weeks and still no repairs or maintenance done on the place. At every turn we're met with empty promises and incompetence. There are no updates or communication from them unless we send multiple follow up emails. There really is no support whatsoever, even when it comes to issues of estate management at Monte Falco. Don't even get me started on the place Monte Falco itself: it sadly has proved to be such an awful and unsafe place to stay, especially as a young single women. Since moving in here I have sadly been subjected to the worse possible service delivery and even abuse by the security guard staff. I once felt so unsafe at midnight, due to the security guards, that I had to call the Douglasdale SAPS (police) to come protect me and my roommates and get the security guards to leave us alone. Despite reporting this to the estate management, I was met with nothing but incompetence and no further help. Add to that the fact that the general upkeep of the estate is below par (the pool and gardens are always dirty and unkempt) it really just isn't worth the investment or leasing amount. You're better off finding something worth the pay in inner Lonehill or Douglasdale, with better management. Disappointing experience all round. And all through out this no support from Mason as our leasing agency. No surprises there, though, as if they can't even get our shower door working or our blinds fixed, how could we expect any real support from them?

would not recommend renting here. beautiful, well-kept complex, sadly let down by poor management. especially as of 2021. the complex has switched over to Protea Metering for water & electricity, which has seen tenants bills triple or even quadruple with no increase in consumption, in the midst of a money crunching pandemic. complaints fall on deaf ears with management, and Protea Metering's promises to investigate the issue are never fulfilled. I wouldn't recommend moving here unless you comfortably have 5K plus to spend on water and electricity as a tenant.
