THE CUPBOARD WAREHOUSE (PTY)LTD in George cannot deliver as committed
This is not the first time the owner of this business features on hellopeter. The modus operandi is the same as for other complaints. The owner, Vian, situated in Mosselbaai and working from George, makes many promises and does not deliver. It took the interference of lawyers to get them as far as to complete my kitchen. This is the most frustrating business I ever had to handle. In the end the work was not entirely completed, I had to deduct money from what was still outstanding to complete the work myself. They over-promise an under-produce. i was asked what I was doing in my own home, if I wanted to supervise the job, or assist them in completing it by Vian's father called Conrad. They have told the lawyers several lies, promised to complete the job, and then, without notice, just did not pitch up on more than one occasion. a previous, similar business was voluntarily liquidated after complaints from previous customers. They have only opened a new company under a new name. What was supposed to be a marriage gift to my wife became the biggest nightmare. I cannot stand the new product, but am surely stuck with it for at least a decade. I have never experienced such childish conduct from persons who are supposedly adults. There is no way I can recommend this company. In the end we had to enter into new contracts, as they were trying to create the impression that I will not pay out the remainder of the contract if they complete the work. it was the biggest insult, but I would do anything at that stage to get them as far as to complete the work. There was a lot of heartache using them. They removed all cooking gear from the kitchen and left my parents, both older than 80 years without any cooking facilities from 10 January 2022 until 2 March 2022. In the mean while they made several promises to their lawyer that they will complete the job, but never pitched up, also not giving any feedback as to why they were not completing the job as promised. Just before they had to fulfill the final commitment, nearly all staff have contracted Covid, but have never submitted medical certificates to substantiate their claims. After all this, I had to approach their lawyer again to get them moving. Stay away, it will save you lots of frustrations.
