This fraudster does not even deserve a 1 star for his ruthless actions. On 2 December 2022, I logged a request on the Snupit platform to find an electrician. Shamiel Arendse responded immediately. He came to my house that same evening to do a walk through and he quoted us on the spot. That evening he demanded an immediate payment for 50% of the quote. I told him I would not pay a deposit without work commencing and also had no guarantee that he would pitch. The guy arrived the next morning and I paid him R3000. He dropped off his accomplice, Mr Linwell Pullen, to do what was clearly dummy electrical work. Linwell left my house after an hour. He damaged my main board and left me without power for 2 days. There were wires hanging out of the walls and good plugs were damaged. Their actions have left me severely out of pocket as I have to pay another electrician to fix up Shamiel and Linwell's mess. I've made several attempts to contact Shamiel via phone, and whatsapp but he does not respond. He clearly had no intention of doing any real electrical work at my house and he's fled with my money. I've searched this guy online and he's done this to more than 12 people already. Hes registered different companies over the past few years to get away with his crimes. I'm an attorney and I ask that if you fell victim to this man, please contact me directly for mutual assistance to bring Shamiel to justice and account for his actions. His latest victim was a pensioner in somerset west who contacted me this weekend. Shamiel Arendse must be stopped from exploiting people online.
Last Friday I went to Nu Metro Canal Walk. I went to the movies after 2 years to watch Downton Abbey which I've been for months to watch. You guys ruined my movie experience and although I've complained on two other platforms, I've not received a response. Firstly, I got in line to collect my prepaid snacks 45minutes before the movie started. There was no urgency to serve people and get the lines moving. Nobody adhered to social distancing and none of your employees enforced this either. Nearly an hour later and 10 minutes after the movie started, I was still in the snacks queue and when it was finally my turn, the attendant tells me that they were out of cool drink. She hands me the popcorn and asks me to follow her. She disappeared from our sight and my husband had to go look for her to collect our drinks now Nearly 30+ minutes into the movie. The popcorn wasn't edible. Someone preseasoned it and we tossed it aside to avoid feeling sick. What a waste! Then just when we thought our experience couldn't get worse, we start to hear the movie playing in the adjacent cinema! I will rather spend the extra money to enjoy a movie and picture quality at Ster Kinekor next time.
I am absolutely disgusted by the pathetic customer service at the Canal Walk branch. I I purchased a laptop from them on 12 June 2021 and on 8 June 2021 I brought the laptop in as it had a defect on the LCD during use. After nearly a month, and despite a Google Review, I am no closer to having the device replaced nor refunded. I have had to chase the store for feedback weekly which is ridiculous as this device was paid for in full. After my Google Review, I received a call from the technician who asked me not to call them again as they would call me when they have feedback. I thought this type of attitude is appalling. I said to the technician that after their poor service I would rather have a refund on the defective product. They would not communicate with me in writing, they do not follow up nor provide feedback. One would expect more proactive customer service during this time with more people relying on technology to make a living from home. There is absolutely no care for the customer post a sale. There is no way I would ever purchase anything from this store again!
