I agree with the previous consumer who complained about the lies and deceiving, I agree with everything she said, except that when I requested a refund, Elaine refused. I have made a special order chezzie (sideboard) with 11 drawers, 11 ball-bearing runners and 11 antique cup handles in April 2021 and she accommodated me to pay half of the order end of April and the balance end of May. I even offered to pay an additional R900 as she claimed that the runners were not part of the design of the chezzie and she would have done me a favour to put in the runners at her own cost. So I paid an additional R900 as it was the right thing to do. I begged and fought with her to deliver the chezzie in June before I travelled for the whole of July but I only received empty promises and excuses. The chezzie was delivered mid August, after continuous fighting and begging. Upon delivery, I realised that the chezzie was not according to the specifications I have ordered: it only has 7 drawers, no runners and no antique cup handles. I immediately phoned her to complain and she promised to either have the chezzie collected and fixed at her warehouse, or to fix it on site (which I didn't agree with as the runners would not fit in the space provided in the existing drawers and there were 4 more drawers to be made). Collection would have been on the Monday and delivery on the Wednesday as this was "an easy fix" according to her. She even offered to give me a decorative box for free as an apology to me for the misunderstanding. I am still waiting... It has been 4 months and I still have not received the chezzie I ordered... I had been patient and accommodating as she and her team had Covid19, but ran out of patience now. So, a warning to future clients of Absolute design shop, be "Absolute" careful and patient when ordering some of the beautiful pieces she sells. And a tip, do not give a full payment without receiving your piece and checking it is according to your specifications if custom made. Oh, one more thing: The most recent excuse was that she could not respond to my messages as she was very busy with paying clients that needs her attention. So I'm wondering, what am I then?! I fully paid in May 2021!
