Tagging additional charges
Submitting a request to ship and MYUS changing and tagging on additional costs. Requested Aramex UK shipping (confirmed by e-mail) only to be billed for DHL Express (30%) more and tagging on "Enhanced Liability Protection" which I explicitly removed. All this nearly doubled the cost of the initial shipping cost without notification, until you get notice from your bank.

Bad service or complete lack of it
Booked my car in for a 135 000km service at Honda Centurion and reported that there is a grinding noise in the engine compartment while engine is running. Received a feedback call stating that the quote for service and repairs amounting to R16700. Of which the cause of the grinding noise was identified as the tensioner pully assembly of which the replacement cost would be R7600. Remainder of cost was for service and replacement of front control arm bushes. Parts were ordered, and the pully assembly replaced, however the grinding noise persisted. After taking the vehicle back to the dealership they reported back that the cause the of the grinding noise is the water pump, but replacement is not required. If I would choose to replace the water pump the cost of the replacement would be R4075. When queried why the tensioner pully was replace it was stated that the bearings were worn. It seems suspicious that a part that was not generating noise would be so closely inspected that it could be determined that the bearings are worn but a part that is generating an unusual noise not be inspected at all. After a lengthy discussion with the workshop manager it was decided to order the water pump and to forfeit the labour cost for the fitting and that the water pump would arrive Tuesday before 12:00 (4th December) should the order be place before 12 the Friday 30th November and that they would call me as soon as the part arrives. The order was placed after 12:00 Friday 30th. Receiving no feedback by 6th December I phone the dealership and was transferred to service advisor with no answer. Immediately phone again and there was not answer at the dealership. Proceeded to sending the workshop manager an e-mail enquiring about the part. With no feedback after 3 hours I phoned again and asked to be transferred to workshop manager, was told line is busy and will be transferred to service advisor, when transfer was answered was told the service advisor is not in. Four trips to dealership, 3 plus wees and R16 700 later the one issue that I reported when booking in vehicle for service has not been resolved.
