I am frustrated with the Grade 8 online admission process and the lack of clear feedback. I app**** on time, but the application still shows “Application is being processed”. I visited the district office and was told to wait two weeks as learners were still being placed. I then called the department twice and was again told to wait an extra week because placements were not yet finalised. I visited the department today and was informed that the school I app**** to is already full, and that all other schools within our zone are also full. This is confusing and concerning, as the system still shows that the application is being processed, with no official update or outcome provided. I was also told that placement is not done on a first come, first served basis, and that preference is given to learners who already have siblings at the school. This information was never clearly communicated, and it does not help parents when no schools in the area have space. At this point, there are no schools nearby that can accommodate my niece, and I am not being given clear guidance on what I am supposed to do next. Even the consultants seem unsure and unable to give clear answers. The system needs to be reviewed, as parents who apply on time should not be left without feedback or solutions. I urgently request clarity on my child’s placement and advice on the next steps.
I booked a package deal at Sharaella Beauty Spa in Edenburg, Sandton. The pricing is fairly reasonable. They cannot seem to distinguish between soft, medium and hard. One the****** who was massaging my partner had a runny nose and kept sniffing and didn't even bother to put on a mask. They didn't bother to look at the package I bought as they we didn't get everything included in the package. 1. Hot stones on the back 2. 15-Minute back exfoliation 3. 15-Minute foot file & scrub The 3 above items on the package were actually missing. That was actually very disappointing on their end and quite unprofessional for not verifying the package details.
Good day, I had called to cancel my membership but the gentleman on the line advised that I come to the gym to fill out the form so as to avoid any delays and back and forth. At the end of August I visited the Lenasia branch to have my contract cancelled as I was moving away from the area and there was no branch close to where I'm currently residing. A gentleman by the name of Cam assisted me in completing the Request to Cancel Membership form. I then asked him how much my cancellation costs would be as I'm aware that those will be applicable. He then advised that the lady who works in the accounts department had an emergency and had to quickly rush home and she would give me a call the following day to finalize the cancellation costs with me as that unfortunately does not form part of his job. I have been waiting for the call and/or email to have that finalized till today. I have been trying to reach the gym but I haven't been successful in doing so instead they have started with legal proceedings because my account is in "arrears". My question is, why am I being handed over for a membership that I cancelled? Why is it my problem that the collections departments is failing to do their job by making contact with me to ensure that I can settle the cancellation fees? It's true what they say, you really get what you pay for. I chose this gym due to my affordability but I have learnt my lesson. I hope I find a resolution to this because I really cannot afford to be blacklisted over something so petty, something that could've been dealt with in a day.
