I bought a 2015 Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCI Powershift, Titanium from Mit Mak Motors in October 2021 and it is the car with the most problems I ever owe, specifically after driving Volkswagen my whole life. The worst is that even a Ford mechanic can't fix it, after replacing several electronic components I took it to Motus Ford Kroonstad to fix a starting problem, I had to use Quick Start to start it first time in the morning. After starting it wioth QAuick Start in the morning of 1 February 2023, I drove the car to Kroonstad myself without any problems or strange sounds and asked them to fix only the starting problem because everything else was fine. On the 18th May 2023 they issued an invoice for the amount of R37 153.67 for work they did, initially I refused to pay because they said the car can't go on the road because off wheel bearing problems and the compression is bad, but I then paid the amount to get the car back and I arranged for the car to be brought to Bethlehem with a truck just in case there was a problem. Yesterday I received the car in a terrible condition, oil leak, water leak, dirty inside and outside, engine sounds like a tractor and I can't go on the road because of a terrible noice. Just for a cherry on the cake, they told my wife I took the car to them on a truck and on the job card it say's "tow In - not starting" I took a video of the car while idling and sent it to them this morning without any reply up to now. Never in my life will I buy another Ford or recommend somebody to buy one.
I am just questioning how good Dekra check a car for dealers, like MitMak motors for example, before it is sold as good and roadworthy, In October 2021 I bought a 2015 Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCi titanium with only 92000 km on the clock from MitMak motors with the understanding that the car was in a good condition and roadworthy by Dekra, within 8000km of driving the car start giving problems to the extent that after close to R 200000 repair costs the car is still giving problems, I know about all the terms and conditions applicable on second hand cars but really I would expect a car with only maybe minor faults and not so many serious faults.

I took it to the Ford dealership in Harrismith and the workshop manager said to give a quotation they will have to do a lot of stripping before he can give a quotation because they don't know the model and did not had one for repairs. I took my car to a RMI registered workshop in Bethlehem because I know them for years and they started working on the car in June 2022, long story short, after almost R200000 repair costs the car is still not in running condition. I did talked to MitMak in the beginning and after several discussions the refund a small amount of money, as time goes on things just getting worse and I contacted Ford South Africa for help but after several long emails they just walked away from my problem. Wat I want to state is that this was the first car I bought from MitMak and also the first Ford I ever drive, I just wonder how good MitMak and Dekra check a car before it is ready to sale, and secondly don't Ford motor company just walk away from problem vehicles, an yes I know about all the rules concerning used vehicles, but then again this car now have only 102000km on the clock
I bought a used vehicle from MIT Mak Motors in October 2021 and after only 8000km I experienced several problems with the car and contracted them complaining about the problems. After several discussions with them and specially with Quinton Hattingh they refunded almost the total amount I spent on repairing the car. I can really recommend them and once again specially for Quinton who took the extra step to solve the problem.
Ek het in Oktober 2021 'n gebruikte motor by MIT Mak Motors gekoop en is deeglik bewus van die voorwaardes van toepassing op die koop van 'n gebruikte motor. Na slegs 8000km se ry met die motor is daar verskeie olielekke, "stabilizers" is totaal uit geslyt, 1 skokbreker is totaal buite werking, ek voel dat dit gebreke is wat tydens die sogenaamde veel-punt ondersoek van die motor by verkoop duidelik sou wees. Ek het op 24 Mei 2022 'n epos aan en Ryno en die werkswinkel by die handelaar gestuur om dit onder hulle aandag te bring en om te hoor wat hulle te sê het. Ek het die epos weer op 30 Mei na hulle gestuur maar tenspyte daarvan dat die epos gelees is het ek geen antwoord van hulle ontvang nie.
