I myself am a well experienced in car repairs but due to personal commitments and urgency of having the car repaired decided to take it to Bosch Car Service Kempton Park. this is the worst place to ever take your car for repairs. Instead of repairing it your car will come back worse than it was. I have an ATOS that went in for a clutch replacement. And the car came back (Friday) with a shudder. I took it back on Tuesday and was given a lot of excuses. I left the vehicle the vehicle there. No feedback from them on what is happening. Made a number of calls and the only thing i am told is that they are busy. After challenging them then was given info that has no bearing on the problem. Fetched my car the following Friday and the exact problem is still there. Eventually I ended removing the clutch and redoing the work MYSELF !! . . . . problem GONE!!!
Just some background information. I drivers windows on my Mercedes failed and it was the window regulator rig ( part no 2037201646) which I ordered from spares. I was old it will be available in a few day so I booked my car in for the replacement a week ago for 25 Nov 2021. I made over 12 calls to spares to find out if my art has arrived with no answer. On 4 occasions that I did get through I was told that they will call me back, which never happened. I started to get a little worried and sourced that part from UNITED motors Secunda ( Mercedes dealership) which a received on Monday 22 Nov 2021. So today I took my car which the part to East rand mall at 07h00 and made it clear that I have the part and made sure that the service agent writes that on the documents. At 14hOO I get a call with a quotation including the part already purchased. I asked the service agent to please revisit the quotation. At 15h30 there is still no quotation. many calls were made to the dealership and all I was told that they will call me back which never happened. I eventually lost my cool with the VROT service from theses people and fetched my car. According to me nothing was done or looked at. firstly the reception lady is watching videos on her cell Phone while my wife is asking her for a business card of the dealership and the response she gets i cant help you without lifting her head. My car was given to me without even an apology. It cost me a days leave and now I will go elsewhere to get it sorted and need to take another days leave. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TAKING THEIR CAR TO EAST RAND MERCEDES !!!!
